Top tier, medium price.
These are fantastic. They sound really nice. If you're looking for super flat, they may not be exactly what you're looking for. If you're looking for something that sounds really accurate, and at the higher end of the desired result, they probably are. Not high as in pitch, high as in quality sound, all the way through. They're light and comfortable. The only criticisms are that they may not be super tough, not saying they don't hold up. Mine don't get babied and they're holding up great for the past six months or so. And then the only thing I get annoyed with is the disconnect. It's probably me not fully locking it in, but once in awhile they pull out if I move a bit. Again, I think it's more not fully locking up the twist lock fitting. And that could be slightly better in the way it works, because it can seem like it's there, but then it isn't. Guess I've gotten used to it now but it's the one thing that I can say for the negative side. They're not super expensive for the level of sound quality and comfort, so it's really not a big deal if there's a couple of minor issues. But figured that may be something to know ahead. If you're gonna be moving around a lot while playing or something, make sure you lock them in because disconnecting at the wrong moment can kinda bump the vibe off a bit.

Sound just like my KRK Rokit 5s!!!
After nearly a decade of not wearing headphones of any kind and only listening to my music via my KRK Rokit 5 Studio Monitors, I was apprehensive about having to ditch my speakers for headphones. I bought a pair of Beats Solos and was horrified by the transition. Mind you, I remembered enjoying the Beats "tuning" a decade earlier, but songs sounded completely different than I had become accustomed to and I was mad. So I searched "Headphones that sound like KRK monitors" and joyfully discovered that KRK also makes headphones for track mixing! I read and watched some reviews and the theme seemed to be that these headphones sound just like the studio monitors—for better or worse. But that's exactly what I wanted and these DELIVER on that promise. I can't comment on durability because I just got them today, but they feel very heavy duty. What I can say is that these do indeed make all my music sound the way they sound when blasted through my Rokit 5s. I couldn't be happier. Of course no headphones can ever fully reproduce the feeling of soundwaves hitting your whole body in addition to your ears, but these cans come as close as possible. I will be using these for enjoyment rather than for music production, but having been a producer in a past life, I can wholeheartedly recommend these for professional use as well.

Great headphones for the price
For the price, these are very nice headphones. Obviously, they are not nearly the quality of headphones in higher price ranges, but for what they are, they are decent headphones. I use these for school. They are pretty durable as they are in and out of my backpack every day. They are comfortable, and the sound doesn't bleed.

KRK KNS 8402 is Excellent!!
I have the KRK Rokit speaker monitors and I love them, so I figured the KRK headphones would be a good choice. I was right! They kick ass! I went from using the Sony MDR 7506 studio headphones for almost 20 yrs, and these KRK KNS 8402 studio headphones blow them away. They have incredible bass compared and just as clean on the highs. I also bought the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 ohm headphones at the same time to compare because they had a 5 star rating, sound quality was pretty much equal but the KNS 8402 had a whole lot more volume and power, they also have a nice slide volume on the wire and the headphone padding is also a lot better than the other two headphones, they are much better sealed and comfortable to wear. All and all i am very impressed with these headphones and couldn't be more happy. I usually don't write reviews, but these definitely deserved the positive input.

Stopped working
Worked perfectly for about 2 months and then they started to create feedback and hardly work at all. I kept them in the box whole not being used so there is no reason that's my almost $90 headphones should not work already. Very disappointed 😞

Exactly what I was looking for
I wanted one headphone that I could track with, mix with, and just use for general listening. I wanted something that I didn't have to handle with extreme care. This does all of those pretty dang well. They don't let any noise out if you're recording next to a mic. They're also light weight and nimble enough that it doesn't get in the way physically from a vocal performance. They also don't let noise in which is great for general listening. For mixing they are detailed, especially in the highs and mids, and seem true to the source. Just listening to several songs on Spotify its immediately clear which ones are mixed well and which ones aren't. The only thing I wouldn't fully trust on these is the bass, it seems slightly exaggerated, it sounds good! But just seems a bit embellished in the 50k-100k bass energy. It also lacks deep deep low depth clarity that you find in more expensive headphones. But I'm not expecting that type of performance out of these. Where it excels beyond its price point is mids and treble. Its warm and pleasant, with a lot of detail. If there is harshness in the mix you'll know about it. Their might be a slight mid scoop going on but its very subtle if there is. The sound stage is not super wide and not super close. I would say way its more spacious up and down than it is wide. That might be my favorite part of these is that sonic elements feel layered distinctly from top to bottom if the song is mixed right. Its really nice.

KRK 👍🏿
This is my second pair and they are still the best headphones for mixing and mastering, Clean and Clear, just what you need for a good mix.

Great Headphones. For someone like me that works with music and had headphones constantly on my head, they are vey comfortable and quite accurate to signals, especially for the price point.

No audible audio bleed into mic when singing. Good-enough audio quality for using it for monitoring, only. Definitely not high quality enough to do audio mixing or mastering.

After moving into a place that I can’t crank up my KRK monitors to how I want them I thought I would see if these headphones would give me the same response as the monitors do I’m so impressed with these !! Along with mixing plugging into my MacBook for iTunes lossless audio these puppies are honestly the best audio experience I’ve had at the price set ! There doesn’t seem to be any reviews online for these 🤷🏻♂️ … not sure why … they are on point if you love the KRK monitors but over your ears … worthy buy
