Jojoba is a wax ester that is very similar in chemical composition to sebum, the skin’s natural oil which is also a wax ester. Jojoba easily mimics the natural oil of the body and is absorbed in the skin instead of laying on a layer above the skin. I no longer use any other product for my hands, skin, hair or face, which makes packing for a trip that much easier.To aid in the application to put on my skin, I add 1-2 drops of water to make it less viscous and easier to apply. This stuff makes my skin so soft. After showering , while I'm still in the shower I rub this all over. And it feels like it's going to be really greasy . But I rinse a little and I get the towel and dry off and it's not greasy feeling at all. Just soft soft skin

I've been using jojoba oil for my hair for a couple years now. When I was living in New York, I would put some jojoba oil on the ends of my hair before I shampoo it, and it helps my hair stay tangle-free for the rest of the day. However, when I moved to Wisconsin, that method simply wasn't enough. The hard water and the cold (and therefore the heater) really damaged my hair and my scalp. My scalp became flaky, REALLY flaky, but it's not dandruff, just dead, dry skin. My hair lost its shine and I started shedding more hair than when I was in New York. I tried installing water filter for my shower head, tried natural shampoos & conditioners, tried scalp treatments, tried a bunch of different brands that claim to be hydrating, but nothing worked.That's when I went back to my trusty jojoba oil. I made my own blend of jojoba oil (4oz), rosemary essential oil (20 drops, supposedly rosemary helps with hair growth by increasing circulation), and lavender essential oil (4 drops, also helps with circulation). I massage my scalp with the blend, put on a shower cap and let it sit for about 30 mins every day (yes, I shampoo every day, it's a habit that I can't change even though it's probably why my scalp is so dry...) I've been doing that for a couple weeks now, and my hair has never been shinier. My scalp feels hydrated, the flakes are gone, and my hair stays tangle-free all day. When I don't have 30 minutes for hair treatment, I just massage the blend into my scalp and shampoo right away. It doesn't work as well, but it's better than nothing!I've also tried jojoba oil on my face as a moisturizer and as a cleanser (oil cleansing method), but my face doesn't seem to appreciate it as much as my scalp does. Jojoba oil has a comedogenic rating of 2, which is moderately low, but can potentially still clog pores for some people. Though there's a lot of talk on the internet about how it resembles the natural sebum that we produce & therefore shouldn't clog pores, it just doesn't work for me. I use argan oil for my face, which has comedogenic rating of 0, and it's working pretty well.

Had to delete a star because if not using it up quickly, there is a bit of a rancid smell but it doesn’t linger (or my nose gets used to it lol… but nobody else has been able to smell it on me and it seems to smell better after a couple minutes. As a carrier oil this is great, just use it quickly.

I like the price and absolutely love the texture of my skin after using this oil. I am older, 70, and my skin has been feeling unbalanced for a while. First I poured some oil into my palm and rubbed it around my hands. Then I applied it to my freshly washed face. Amazing! My skin drank it up and became so smooth. After five minutes I proceeded to apply my liquid foundation using a Real Techniques Sponge. Wow! Amazing results! My foundation seemed to meld into my skin easily and oh so evenly. It lasted all day and looked great until I washed my face at night. Usually my makeup breaks down somewhat during the day. But that changed after using Now Solutions Johoba oil. It is a real game changer for my mature skin.I find the oil seems to get on the outside of the bottle so I just wipe around the cap and bottle after each use to keep it nice and clean. That's a simple trade off for my soft and smooth skin.I have begun using this oil all over my body lately. The results are wonderful. I am excited that I can stay hydrated easily with just one product. And now my only problem is tossing all of my old moisturizers and balms. My cupboards and vanity will look uncluttered and tidy. Sooo Happy with my new oil!
