Works great, but pinout IS NOT what is shown in the pictures!
The pinout is direct from the DB9 to the RJ45: 1 to 1, 2 to 2, ..... ,7 to 7, 8 to 8, and 9 isn't hooked up. If you are using one of these adapters at either end of an ethernet cable, then it will work perfectly fine (within serial cable length limits anyway). Or if your are rolling your own device and can make sure to match the pinout, you are good as well. But, if you are trying to use one of these as a console cable (to a Cisco or whatever) or as an EIA/TIA-561 compatible cable, then it won't work properly as the pinout is different. Unless of course you can modify your device to change the pinout. While the product itself is 5 stars and works great, the incorrect information deducts a star. If the listing was updated to show the correct pinout, I would update my rating no problem.
