We have ordered several of these this past year. The first 2 worked great. All of the others did not work correctly. There are many applications that these do not work in. Unless the unit is underload you cannot size them properly. (Example: a few have a 5HP rating and unless they are installed you do not know if they are going to work or not) Many of these have failed within a month of being installed. Do not waste your time on these.

I've seen some poor reviews from people (like myself) who bought the unit hoping to power a controller or other intelligent device. For me it was a CNC mill. The unit does not work for that. It only works with direct-to-motor applications. I'm still giving it a positive review because for that application it is a super affordable solution. If you are in CNC like me, you will have to get a rotary converter or a solid state version such as Phase Perfect (highly recommended for this application). This image is from the instructions contained in the box. Had this image been on the product images I would have known right away and not purchased it. I have posted it for others to possibly benefit from and not be so upset with the experience. Good luck.

Would not run the motor on my air compressor I tried a DPS 15 and 20 both on a 10hp motor would start good with no load but if the compressor had any air buildup in the tank it would not start. If your motor has no start load it would not work fine. But won’t work on an air compressor even if you up size it. Then charged a restocking fee when I returned them. After I messaged DPS before I bought them to make sure the DPS 15 would work.
