Cleaning the slicer is simple. Make sure it is off with the blade closed and use a flat head screwdriver and turn the holding knob in the middle of the bade to open it and then wipe off the blade. Do not wipe off the lubricating grease from the back of it. Reassemble the blade and wipe down the rest of the unit and then set it back. Takes maybe two minutes tops even with juicy meats or sticky cheeses.

Q: Can it cut through bones like pig ribs or pork chops?

as a chef i can tell you NEVER try to cut bone with a deli slicer, DANGEROUS and will dill the blade with just one use! You need a heavy duty meat saw(similar to a bandsaw, for carpenters), dont use this machine for this purpose , william olsen- willyobiker@yahoo.com
