Can fill with stones
It does make syphoning easy, even in a narrow & deep tank. The hand pump can fill with gravel. I disconnected any tubes that would come off, let everything dry out a bit, then spent a little time shaking out the gravel and it worked perfectly again

Easy way to clean tank
I was amazed at how well this worked. I had to squeeze the pump a few times to get it to work, but once it did it was amazing. I was able to vacuum out the bottom grunge and suction out much of the water. Normally, I had to move the axolotl and all items, hand bucket to the sink and take the tank outside to dump. A job that use to take me an hour, was done in minutes. Thank you!!!

Great value!
This water changer worked great! I was able to change both my 5-gallon and 20-gallon tanks in under 30 minutes. I really loved that it has a hook to attach to the bucket, and the pump was pretty easy to get started. The flow was a little slower than I expected, but other than that, it worked great! I’d definitely recommend this as an affordable and convenient option for anyone looking to make water changes easier.

Easy to use and effective
Must have for tank cleaning! Made cleaning our 20 gallon turtle tank easier than a basic hose or tipping the whole tank on its long side. Yes, we did this at first; very carefully, but it still took a long time to get the gravel cleaned and the algae rinsed away. (Our tank is only filled 1/3 of the way and is located outage in our patio.) With this pump and hose combo, I was able to siphon the gravel while letting the garden hose run water into the tank to get the gravel cleaned faster. The suction is good, but if I ever lost suction (cause I chased a piece of algae that floated towards the surface) I just need to pump the suction bulb a few times to get the flow going again. None of that wrangling with the line to get gravity to start the water flow again. The gravel suction tube itself is great. I scooped up some gravel in it, shook it a bit while the gravel is inside the tube to shift out debris. The suction action takes the cloudy debris out of the tank. Also there’s a small slotted filter screen of sorts at the end of the gravel tube that prevents large gravel from going through the line. Highly recommended as it’s easy to use and effective.
