I bought this to crochet a shawl for a friend. It is my first time using YarnArt Flowers and I absolutely LOVED working with it. The colors are vibrant and bright, the transitions are beautifully subtle, and the cotton acrylic blend is dreamy soft and cushy. I am absolutely thrilled with the final product. I have worked with Scheepjes before and love crocheting cotton fiber. This yarn is definitely on par in my opinion, and about half the cost. A real bargain for very high quality yarn.

Love it. Never crochet with weight 1 yarn before but I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was with this yarn. The colors are beautiful.

Beautiful colors, soft, easy to use. The shawl this is intended for will be perfect to dhow off the gradients. A wonderful brand of yarns.

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to one of those really expensive fingering yarn wheels we all know and love. It does the job at half the cost of the other yarn, but there are a couple of things that it's good to know going in: 1. The color transitions are not nearly as smooth. While they did do the 1-strand-at-a-time transition, most of the colorways of this yarn go immediately from a very dark yarn to a significantly lighter yarn at the first transition, so you get a kind of dotted stripy look in your finished work instead of the smooth, dark-to-light transition you get with other brands. If this is ok with you then it shouldn't present a problem. I've included a photo of the transition as it happened so you can see for yourself how the finished product might look. 2. Like is often the case with less expensive yarns, you will run into quite a few "cut and knot" spots in each skein, which can be frustrating. You get what you pay for. However, you might want to take that into consideration when planning your project, especially if you cut those often slippery knots and make your own for security. It can reduce the total length of the wheel. Overall, the size and length of the yarn are compatible with competitors, and it's not a bad yarn to work with. I actually found that it was less "splitty" to work with than some of the more high-end brands, which was nice. The spin is nice and tight.

This made a beautiful shawl! I used a 5mm hook, even with this being very thin, maybe fingering weight. But it turned out so pretty!! It was really big, though. I had to skip a little bit of the yarn here and there to get to the end colors without the shawl turning into a blanket. I wish I would’ve skipped a bit of the purple at the beginning to be honest, but all in all I was very happy with this yarn! I tried the scheepjes yarn first and made a shawl with it, and I loved it but yarn art is cheaper so I wanted to try it out and compare the two. In my opinion, the color transition was smoother on the scheepjes whirlyarn, and I was more of a fan of the feel of the scheepjes I think, but that’s really just personal preference. The scheepjes is 60% cotton/ 40% acrylic, where the yarn art is 55% cotton/ 45% acrylic. The yarn art is a bit softer I think but I preferred the 60/40 blend of the scheepjes slightly more. However, I do absolutely love this yarn and I will purchase again.

Great yarn/thread. Colors were joined with a small knot which made it very easy to separate (which I wanted to do. ) super fine weight Great for doilies.

This is a beautiful gradient cotton/acrylic blend yarn that works effortless for knitting. I used it for the knitting in pattern Petal Mesh Wrap that can be purchased on Ravelry. You just need 1 skein. I added beads for the picot border which gives it a nice drape and shape. I highly recommend the yarn and pattern.

Colors are vibrant. Only the purple of the rainbow color is solid. The rest of the colors have at least one strand of the previous color blended in. I was hoping for a more Ombre effect. Decent to work with. My skein has had a lot of knots and frayed bits. Splits pretty easily so need to pay attention.

Beautiful cotton with fabulous colour gradients. I have used it for a blanket of nine squares. 3 12 inch squares per ball. Its fineness is suitable for lace like patterns. It is modt similar to Sheepjes Whirls, but more affordable.

Making a shawl, a little bit harder to work with than expected as yarn splits easily. Suggest pointed crochet hook, or smaller size than recommended. Love the colours.
