Under the Dome: The Complete Series

After having watched this show on a streaming platform that it is no longer available on I was glad to find it on here! I was a bit skeptical at first for the price as there are a lot of fraud DVD sellers. This arrived well packaged, sealed and is an actual retail DVD set, not some knock off junk with a poor screen resolution or a set screen size that still has a horrible picture. The DVDs come in a solid plastic case that snaps closed with a hinged lid. It has "pages" inside that the DVDs snap into and are held firmly in place but not so much so that they are difficult to remove. Case is of good heavy quality, includes the original DVD artwork. Each DVD is clearly marked with the information for each disc. Excellent picture and sound quality, full screen high def resolution. Has options for subtitles and Spanish language settings.

I can't believe the packaging on this set of DVDs! This has got to be the best packaging I have ever got with a set of dvds. It is not in a standard flimsy little box. This box is about as rugged as it gets. It is more like a well built thick plastic case with rounded edges. Who ever built the case is a genius. My only issue is that some of the dvds had slipped off the little plastic spindles during transport and were rattling around in the package. I tend to be a bit obsessive about the care of dvds .. so that one annoyed me a little bit. But not enough to take stars away. This is a really great series to sit down and binge watch over a rainy weekend. The characters are really great and easy to get attached to. Most of the situations are enough to keep a person watching. The series did get a little weird towards the end, unfortunately .. and it seemed like they could have done more with it by way of another season or two. But overall .. I enjoyed it enough to want it for my own library. So must be it was pretty good.

Since i do not have a tv bundle, and channel on-air reception is practically nil since 9/11, series that i may have seen a couple of episodes but never the end of the story...i now try to obtain dvds so "binging" is possible. Having come across some "flatearth" people and their ideas of earth being covered by a dome..the connection to this series got me wanting to see if there was any "predictive programming" in the story. I was not disappointed. . .it had all the elements, government involvement, ET takeover, apocalyptic responses of people under stress.. .also, the extras on the disks make the experience worthwhile. . .the suspense is sustained, the effects are remarkable, and the disks all played perfectly, and am quite satisfied with the purchase.
