4Pin PTC Starter Relay

Journeyman electrician by trade Our little Hotpoint chest freezer just stopped working (the refrigerant compressor would not start) and was unusually warm because the start/run relay was defective causing the thermo protector to trip out thus saving the compressor from damage I did watch a very good video on YouTube to confirm what I suspected Did a quick search on Amazon and found the exact part I needed and ordered 2 just in case for next time hopefully years down the road. This part actually fits multiple brands. Like the video recommends & so do I take a picture of what terminals the wires are connected to. Very easy 5 minute install and our freezer now works like a champ again

I purchased this for my deep freezer. The freezer company no longer sells this part. Was very affordable and works perfectly. Very easy to install.

I received an in expensive deep freeze from my mother for Christmas a few years ago. She was so happy and proud to do it, as she is on disability and on a fixed income and as she puts it “I do so much for her” she wanted to show her gratitude. She saved all year to do this. I don’t ask or expect anything from her for anything I do for as i do it out of love and respect as do my two brothers. I loved this little deep freeze and it filled it up. Unfortunately this part went out. Luckily i caught it before the food spoiled (man my family hasn’t eaten so many frozen pizzas and popsicles in our lives those followings days). When i told my mom she was devastated. She immediately started looking for ways to come up with money to replace it. I told her she better not and I would take care of it. I reached out to repair shops and everyone I talked to said these freezers were pretty much made to be discarded and its cheaper to replace them then fix them. But Youtube University came in clutch and walked me through possible fixes. Luckily this was the easiest fix so i tried it first. It worked and has been going strong ever since. Thank you for selling a quality product. You should have seen the tears in my mothers eyes after i fixed it and told her.

If you have the $150 freezers from HD/Lowes and they stop chilling this part will get you back up and running. It is not hard to replace, don't be afraid to do it. I ordered 2 and put one taped inside the compressor area in case it goes out. I also ordered a digital freezer thermometer with alarm as we lost about $1,000 in meat from the the old one dying and us not knowing.

Product was as expected, easy to install. My freezer is working fine. Need a little time to rate the lifespan of the product.

Used this PTC to replace the burnt one on my 2009 Kenmore chest freezer, which uses ZEL compressor model GTH53AD. The original part had the thermal protection (black puck) separate from the current overload (white block). This item has them both combined into one package. The only problem I faced was the little metal cage welded onto the compressor to protect the device. The new one wouldn't fit in there. I had to shave a the edge at the round end of the case, and the top of the "ear". The one next to the not numbered terminal. Should've taken a photo. Then it was able to clear the metal cage, and plug-in. I expect this would last another 15 years or so. :-)

!CAUTION!The fuse either didn't work or its not universal. It blew my compressor and started a fire in my garage. Luckily nobody was hurt!

Garage frezzer stopped working and this was the fix. Exact replacement no issues at all. Came in time expected, no complaints. Saved repair tech costs. If this is same as original I expect this to last another eight years. A very good buy.

I replaced my mini fridge starter and now it works fine
