Serrated Piranha “Swivel” Peeler 7.25” Green

this was purchased to replace my old and tired kitchen aid peeler.it's amazing how such inexpensive item helps in your prep work.it's sharp and ergonomic, the glide is smooth and very comfortable, 5 stars all around for design and functionality.i will get another one for fruit peeling and save this one for the veg.quality still exists!

I saw this peeler on a cooking show, and decided it may be the best choice when I'm peeling mangoes or peaches, to keep the most flesh while peeling just the skin. It worked like magic! The peeler was easy to grab (the gripper is so comfortable and user-friendly), the metal had a little serrated, not totally smooth, blade, and cut through the fruit's skin with so little effort! I have a few other peelers I've been loyal to over the years, but I was very impressed by this product! One of my other favorites has already gotten rusty, despite my hand washing it. This one has gotten no rust in the time I've been using it. I think it'll be hard for this one to be beat out in my "favorite peeler" contest!

Loved this peeler! It works like a charm, even on hard squash and sweet potato skin. Easy to use. Focus is important while using. Slow down a little and watch what you're doing. It is very sharp, so easy to cut yourself. Protective gloves are a great idea.It's a little difficult to clean the blade, without snagging the dish sponge. A small brush will work instead.I'll subtract 1 star for lack of blade protector to store it safely.

OMG is this puppy SHARP! I love this little guy. I heard about Kuhn Rikon through a YouTube video by Rivka Malka Perlman. She highly recommended it so I bought one. I am SO glad I did! It's amazing. I love the little ridges it leaves so that what you're peeling isn't slippery. Sweet! Just for the heck of it, I peeled a tomato. And YES it DOES peel tomatoes. Amazing!The only caution I would have is: This is NOT a toy nor a training tool! Don't let a child who has never peeled before use this! Only let experienced people use it. And by 'experienced' I do not mean those who have peeled potatoes or carrots once or twice. It is that sharp which is why we all love it, so don't ruin it for the rest of with by being stupid or lazy. Keep it out of the reach of children. If you have kids, make a cardboard 'sleeve' for it and keep it in the sleeve in the drawer. A portion of a toilet paper roll made into a tube for it and taped closed would make a nice sleeve, by the way.
