It takes some time to be calibrated but afterward is great. I've initially provided a bad review because I was disappointed with the performance of the product, I did not get the same weight after trying more than 7 times following the instructions. However, this has changed. I d not how to explain this, and it is a bit embarrassing, but after one day I tried again and I got a consistent weight all the time, it seems that the product has been calibrated, I do not know how, but it works now. It is great value for the money, very light, cool design, options to get results in metric or imperial and very easy and straight forward to use. Where you get a great value for your money is in the Customer Service provided by Etekcity, they contacted me intermediately with a constant communication and offering me a replacement in the best possible conditions. What an amazing bit of kit. How do they make this for £13? I haven’t a clue. The main part you stand on is tempered glass and it feels like really good quality. The display can be changed easily to Kg or Lbs, or Lbs and stones. It even comes with batteries in place. There isn’t a lot you can say about the scales. They work, they’re excellent quality and they look great. Then there’s the free included tape measure - this is such a thoughtful addition because whenever I weighed myself, I had to go hunting for a tape measure - and it was fiddly. I have read a lot of reviews about these scales and the free measure, and I have to say I really laughed when I saw the comments about the missing 5 cms. The tape is the most perfectly thought out and designed freebie you can imagine. It has a plastic body with a button that draws the tape back into it on a spring mechanism. You put the body on your body and draw the tape out, take it round the tummy and slot it into the OTHER SIDE of the plastic tape body. Then you read it. So, how far away from the place where the tape comes out to the place you slot the other end in? You guessed it - 5cms. That’s why people think it has 5cms missing. It doesn’t. I think the whole thing is delightful and I find it unbelievable value for money.

The scales themselves are great - accurate and simple to use with a very clear blue screen readout. The black tinted/painted glass looks great even if it does attract dirt/dust and need cleaning now and again! The 'step on and weigh' feature without having to tare the scales each time you weigh yourself is great, and they seem to be very accurate, so very happy with the scales themselves. My only issue is that the included free gift tape measure is complete garbage unfortunately. Which I know doesn't affect the Scales which were what I bought, but it does let down the whole package slightly, hence 4 stars only. Would still recommend though, especially for the price.

When I first tried these new scales, they were wildly inaccurate compared to my previous scales. However, when I moved them from my bathroom (which has a vinyl floor laid over creaky floorboards - i.e. with a little bit of movement) to a properly hard floor, they worked perfectly. The method of switching the display between kilograms and stones or stones and pounds is slightly fiddly, in that it can only be done when the scales are powered on (they switch off fairly quickly after you step off them). However this is a minor quibble. The display is clear and the scales seem to be both accurate and consistent. They are excellent value for money - highly recommended (on a hard floor!).

I recieved these scales today loved them as soon as i opened the box. The item was packaged very well to prevent breakage during delivery. It's a very nice sleek, slimline design with a light fell to them. There very attractive scales. There's detailed instructions printed on film on front of the scales that's easy to remove. Once removed from the box, just remove the directions and tab from the battery compartment and their ready for use straightaway. I had myself weighed at the gym last week and was glad to find that when i stepped on these they were very accurate. It's a beautiful blue backlit LED display that is clear and crisp in displaying the weight. The display screen is very desired size for all 74 x 38mm. At the back of the scales is a button to push that changes the weight unit from ibs to kg for your desired weight measurement. Upon further inspection of the box, you will also find a tape measure to measure the inches as well as the lbs. As with all scales, for an accurate reading, place on hard floor surface not carpet etc. The scale size 300 x 300 x 18mm. Small enough for any bathroom and with the modern chic look, go with any bathroom decor. The box contains: 1 x Digital body weight scale. 1 x User Manual 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries (Pre Installed) 1 x Measuring Tape. Its fantastic value for money to weigh and measure yourself and calculate your MBI. High;y recommended if your looking for a high value product at low price costs.

I have been diagnosed as diabetic and wanted some scales to accurately record my weight and subsequent reduction of it. My other scales were quite old and I found it difficult to read the weight. These scales are fantastic, really modern looking, black to match the tiles in the bathroom with a blue readout and such a difference to use. They can be set to kilograms, stones and pounds. I prefer imperial to metric and they even give the ounces. I am really happy with them. The only downside is that I am heavier than I thought, my old scales being inconsistent and completely worn out but that is no reflection on my lovely new scales and with careful diet control, I am confident the numbers I see recorded will gradually reduce over the weeks and month. They are an excellent price and delivery was prompt.

Great inexpensive set of digital scales. No fancy BMI calculations (not sure how accurate those are anyway…) and no wifi or app integration. Step on, read weight, step off. The most important criteria: consistency. I've used scales before which gave variable readings, and you'd need to try 3 or 4 times to get a consistent value you would trust. Not so with these, the reading is the same every time, which makes the morning weigh-in a doddle. Accuracy: comparing my weight with a different set of (more expensive, with BMI sensor etc.) scales, these read the same. So they do appear to be accurate (for cheap home scales anyway). Convenience: the backlit display is super easy-to-read, and it takes rechargeable AAA batteries instead of a stack of fiddly CR-whatever button cells, so that's a nice bonus.

Couldn't be happier. I measure my weight every day (I am trying to find out what's going on with obesity), and these scales are both perfect and rather beautiful. As far as I can tell they're perfectly calibrated out of the box, and they don't seem to have drifted over a year of use. I've only recently needed to change the batteries.

Diese Waage misst recht genau und entspricht in der Regel bis auf 100g Abweichung dem Gewicht meiner alten (Referenz)Waage von Sanitas, die ich unter mehr als 20 Waagen in einem Elektronikmarkt nach langer Suche als die ideale Preis-Leistungs-Waage gefunden habe. Der Kontrast beim Ablesen könnte ein klein wenig schärfer sein, aber das ist eine kleine Klage auf sehr hohem Niveau. Denn viele Waagen sind nicht mal beleuchtet, diese schon und sie hat auch handelsübliche Batterien. Das Maßband für den Bauchumfang ist tatsächlich gut zu gebrauchen und zeigt auch, wenn man es richtig einhakt, das korrekte Ergebnis an. Diese Waage muss sich jetzt noch bei mir im Alltag auf längere Zeit bewähren. Die Curamed, die ich zuvor als meine Erstwaage hatte, hat das immerhin 4 Jahre gut getan, nun aber zeigt sie erhebliche Abweichungen von bis zu 3 Kg an, wenn sie sich überhaupt noch für ein Gewicht entscheiden kann. Bin gespannt, ob die Etekcity auch so lange durchhält - der Anfang ist jedenfalls sehr vielversprechend. Meine Kriterien für eine gute Waage sind: eine exakte Gewichtsmessung, dass die Waage auch kleine Unterschiede von zumindest ca. 200g gut erkennen kann (also eine gewisse Sensibilität - ohne aber dass sie ständig etwas anderes anzeigt), dass sie beleuchtet und gut ablesbar ist, dass sie normale Batterien gebraucht und dass sie nicht kippelt! und stabil verarbeitet ist. Das trifft zumindest bei dem Gerät, was ich erhalten habe, voll und ganz zu. Darüber hinaus sieht sie auch noch gut aus und der Preis von ca. 20 € ist auch voll in Ordnung. Allen anderen Schnickschnack brauche ich nicht. Durch die vielen Rezensionen von Waagen, die ich vor dem Kauf gelesen habe, gehe ich mal davon aus, dass es wohl keine Firma im normalen Preissegment gibt, die nicht auch Ausschuss oder Montagsgeräte hervorbringt. Daher habe ich mir gleich 2 verschiedene Waagen bestellt von 2 Firmen. Die Etekcity ist günstiger und besser als die kleinere ADE-Waage BE 1504, die mich etwas enttäuscht hat - insbesondere weil die ADE kippelt (man muss sich schon drauf konzentieren, dass man im Halbdunkel mit der Waage nicht noch umkippt, die ADE ist wohl nur für kleine Menschen gedacht) - außerdem hat die ADE zwar eine 50g genaue Anzeige, die man sich aber auch hätte sparen können, da sie solche Unterschiede in der Regel gar nicht wahrnimmt. Meine Laufuhr hat gut 50g und diese bemerkt die Waage leider nicht. Und die ADE hat keine handelsüblichen Batterien und zeigte bei meinem Gewicht 400-700 Gramm mehr an als meine Sanitas-Referenzwaage (und wer möchte schon ständig so viel mehr wiegen!). Bei meiner Tochter allerdings, die über 30 KG leichter ist als ich, da entsprach die ADE recht genau meiner Referenzwaage (also wirklich für kleine und leichte Leute gedacht!). Das könnte dann aber auch bedeuten: Dass wohl viele Personenwaagen bei verschiedenen Gewichten unterschiedlich genau messen - mal kann die eine, mal die andere besser sein. Die Etekcity liegt bei gut 90 Kg jedenfalls vorn. Die perfekte Waage scheint es wohl nicht zu geben - aber wenn die Etekcity jetzt noch 5 Jahre auf dem Niveau durchhält, dann ist sie zumindest mein Favorit.

Second time to purchase this product just because I destroyed the charging part on the scale. My fault not the scale. First on the list is charging. I have charged this scale one time on February 2023. Today is October 8 2025 and this scale still has battery to operate. It’s on its last breath but still working darling. Second, we have the weight accuracy: this friend of mine is very accurate. The display is bright and will show the result as (000.0) and it will stay on display for about 10-15 seconds after stepping away from the scale. Very nice and appreciated work. Third, very thin and slim. You can store it any where you want and it will not take space. The box it came with is slim too. I kept the box for storage. Very convenient. Fourth, it has a built in Bluetooth to connect to the phone. I haven’t used this feature and not planning to do so. Fifth, price is reasonable. Just go a head and buy it. You will not regret this one. Finally, I have one complaint. (It’s not always positive. We are flawed and so are you Mr. Scale) the charging wire is one foot long only 🥲. It is also a unique type C charger, so make sure to keep this precious wire safe in a place where you can find it (tape it to the box). Otherwise you’ll have to buy this scale again as I did last week. I love you Mr. Scale because you Lasts forever.
