Works well in my yoga practice
I love doing yoga. It brings me relaxation, exercise, better circulation and health. However, for whatever reason, the circulation in my feet is extremely poor. If I try to do yoga in the winter with bare feet, my feet freeze, making it hard to get a good grip on the map or to pay attention to what I'm doing. If I put in regular socks, they slide on the map, putting me at risk at injuries. So I gave a try to these ToeSox yoga socks. There are two traits of these socks which encouraged me to give them a try. First, the socks have tons of little rubbery dots along the soles. These help you to grip the surface. I never had any sense of sliding while wearing the socks. My feet felt secure and stable, even in positions that put stress on them. On the other hand, though, when I finish with my yoga session, I finda number of mysterious little "dots" littering my yoga mat. Apparently the socks are not completely impervious to the effort. I also like that the socks have little toe-spots so each toe can stretch and get traction. I admit that when I first looked into socks I'd rather have had ones that were toe-less socks - the mitten alternative for the feet. I didn't think I'd enjoy little toe-spots for each toe to go into. If nothing else, I didn't think they'd be as warm for my toes. However, now that I've used them, I have to say I was delighted. My feet were quite warm. It was fun to put my toes into their little spots, and easy too. My feet stayed stable while using the socks and it never felt uncomfortable. If anything, it brought a smile to my face every time I looked down and saw my toes encased in their little striped homes. Is there a down side? Well, first, there does seem to be a dot attrition going on. I have to wonder just how many washings it will take before these turn into normal undotted socks. Still, even if that does happen after quite a while, I'll be content. The socks will have done a great job until then, keeping me warm and safe. Also, I was intrigued to find that getting my feet into their shoes to get to the yoga class was a bit of a challenge. The little dots meant the socks didn't slide easily into their shoes. So it's something to keep in mind as you go to and fro. Well recommended! I bought my ToeSox with my own money.

Great find
I was even able to put my shoes on over these. Though not intended to be worn with shoes, these work. I run around the house se, but have to run outside in a hurry, frequently, whether to meet a deliveryman or tend an animal, so I have to throw on a pair of shoes in a hurry. I don't have time to change sox. I didn't expect to be able to shoes on over these due to the grippy bottom, but I can. I wouldn't want to wear them under shoes all day, as the nubs on the bottom might be a little warm in shoes or less comfortable in shoes, but they are not uncomfortable either. Love being able to work out or work inside with just these grippy sox and not slide around in regular sox. Love the toe separation - a huge help with my crooked toes which tend to overlap badly. Great blister prevention for me.

Purchased for weight training
I purchased these with the intention of using them for deadlifts on a wooden platform. I wanted to be able to lift while barefoot but not freeze so I gave these a try. They are perfect, the grips hold tightly and do not slip on the board or my feet. The sizing is correct also. I gave them a 3 star on warmth because they are not very thick as far as material goes but that’s a plus really (in my case) however, they will leave you a little cool if you are in a garage or on tile/concrete. All in all I would definitely recommend these to someone looking for grip socks for weight training. I pulled 415 for 6 and they didn’t move at all.

Good But Too Pricey
These are nice. They are as pictured as far as my computer goes. The sock is very thin and I did not think they were worth the money so I will order a less expensive pair next time. My fear, however, would be that those will slip. These socks fit very snug and did not move at all on my foot nor did they slip. I used them only on a rug not on hardwood. They may be super snug on me because even though I wear a medium width shoe my foot is on the wide side. A normal B width might not be so super snug. The toes part would fit those who have very long toes (like buying tall pantyhose when you're only a medium. You have all that "extra" - you know?). Hope that helps and I didn't forget anything.

Great for martial arts! And fine for men as well.
I do Taekwondo but our studio has moved to a facility with wood flooring. It's been murder on my feet creating blisters due to all the movement. I was really worried that the texture on the bottom would grab too much to allow spins or even make it unsafe. Also, for some reason this style and color seem to be marketed exclusively to women. I am a 6' tall man and 185lbs. I was a little worried there was some differences with these socks. Thought for $15 I'd give it a try since they say they are for martial arts and a couple have posted on here they use them during dancing. And on the vendor website they don't sell women's vs men's socks. I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised. They take a little getting used to but they work great. They grab just enough to give traction but still allow spin kicks and sparring, where often my entire body weight is pivoting on just the balls of one foot. Next time I would order the full sock rather than just the ankle as that would be a uniform look under my uniform pants. These are short enough that you see the black socks, my ankles and then the tops of my black pants. But all in all they are working great!

Great longevity!!!!
I love these sox! I've had my first pair for over 10 years, wore them 3-4 times a month and have just purchased a second pair. I'm looking forward to enjoying the same quality and comfort as the first pair has provided. All my other sox slip, on the yoga mat; these do not.

Great for lifting weights
I started getting into barefoot lifting for the anatomical advantages. I didn't want to actually lift barefoot, especially with sweaty feet in the summer. My feet slid around a little in regular athletic socks, and doing box jumps in socks was dangerous. These add just enough grip and don't slide around on my feet. I thought maybe the grip texture on the bottom would dig into my feet on heavy deadlifts or squats but fortunately I don't feel it. I'm a size 11 in men's and the large in these socks fit perfectly. I highly recommend you ditch whatever shoes you're lifting in and try these for a week. Look up videos with Chris Duffin on rooting your feet, "foot love" or why "your shoes probably suck."

Great socks, NOT for Yoga though
I ordered these socks hoping I could use them in my anusara practice. They are beautiful, true, and fun and great in every other aspect, but simply not so good for yoga. The first time I tried coming to class in these, I spent a third of the class re-arranging the socks on my feet rather than actually doing the flow. My toes were almost cut of a couple times, esp. in positions such as the warrior. The socks are likely to turn around your feet with the pressure, and slowly and painfully distract your attention from balance to the pain and discomfort in your toes. The material is good otherwise and I'm looking forward to wearing these at other times. Perhaps I could have spent less $$$ for regular socks, though.

I hate being in bare feet and these are just right for working on smooth wooden floor, yoga mat or carpet. nice and sticky, tight but not restrictive
