Both. There are more and they are larger.

Does the fish have magnets in their mouths to catch them?

No magnets. The fish open and close their mouths so as the fishing line and "hook" (a textured end) is dropped into an open fish mouth, it will close and hold the line so you catch that fish & pull it out of the "water". Manufacturer suggests ages 4 and up.

How big are the fish/sea creatures?

Hi, The game itself measures about 14"x14". The sea creatures are slightly smaller than those in the classic version, but there are twice as many of them.
