Real Heat, Real Flavor — Perfect for Homemade Pad Thai
If you’re serious about making Pad Thai that actually tastes like Pad Thai, these Authentic Red Thai Chili Peppers are the move. The heat is clean and bold — not just spicy for the sake of being spicy, but layered. You get that sharp, bright kick that wakes up the whole dish without overpowering it. A few crushed into the sauce and suddenly everything tastes alive. The peppers themselves are vibrant, whole, and clearly high quality. No stale smell, no dull color. You can tell they’re legit the second you open the bag. I like to toast them lightly before grinding or crushing — the aroma alone is worth it. They’re also versatile beyond Pad Thai. Great for chili oil, stir fry, soups, or grinding into your own spice blends. But for me? They’ve become a staple specifically for that perfect sweet-salty-spicy balance in homemade Pad Thai. If you want authentic heat and flavor, this is it. Restaurant-level results at home.

Good dried chilies
Good stuff. Hot, but not hot as blazes, and some flavor is present as well as fire. 5 oz is surprisingly a lot. Happy with my purchase.

Use for Mayak eggs
Love to use these to make Mayak eggs. I always keep them on hand and having these chili’s make the eggs hotter. Very good quality peppers. Highly recommend

Thai Chili Peppers - Amazing brand - 16oz
Very nice looking. Looks fresh with very few being undesired (this will happen with all dried peppers). That's an adequate amount for a 1lb bag. Only labeling is from California. Does not appear to be sent from China, as some others have received. Great expiration date - 19 months after order/received. Taste is good. I'm still looking for something slightly hotter, as I eat a lot of hot stuff, but these makes my homemade General Tso's Chicken quite flavorful with a nice kick. Update: For some, these might be hotter than the usual General Tso's chilis. For those, I found a milder chili at Walmart (for just a few bucks - 12oz bag). I found the spicier one I was looking for in a Bird's Eye Thai Chili (found here on Amazon). They're really small but they kick harder than these. Won't need many of those in any dishes unless you really like it hot.

Best chilies for the brave.
I’m addicted to spice. This is my favorite pepper, and it’s so satisfying in “my” food. The family has tapped out on my love of Thai food. I have gone over the rainbow and I do not consider this to be spicy, it can complement a savory dish just right. I’m really happy to have it with vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone also. I have noticed however that if it is included in a soup and has softened in the broth my lips will tingle. When making hot chili oil with these peppers, if you step out of the fresh air bubble just around your pan… be sure to have an inhaler close by. My family will stay outside or call from the car to make sure that it is safe to come home. But this as chili oil for tacos is probably the best option for Mexican food yet. Letting them sit for 20 minutes in a bowl with boiled water then blended with some garlic, cilantro, lime juice, lemon zest, and tomatillos, I’m drooling just thinking about this recipe. Adding them to pad Thai or Thai anything is probably the best option for enjoying food. Favorite sauce; 2 limes juiced with pulp (2 Tbs) 1oz water 1Tbs fish sauce 2Thai chili’s sliced 1/4 palm sugar thinly sliced Mix let sit in the fridge for a minimum of 20 minutes ENJOY! This sauce works with beef, seafood, even chicken. I do not eat pork. Last week I used these peppers for a dry rub on chicken wings, then added some of the rub to an egg, flour, cornstarch batter then deep fried the chicken. I made the sauce for me to dip my hot wings in and I made some kewpie mayo based tzatziki sauce for my friends to enjoy with the hot wings. Super crispy chicken with a kick.
