Opted to use the Maxiscope with the MK906BT tablet (additional purchase) as I did not want to have a PC hanging over my cars fender. I like the small footprint the tablet has. At the same time I get a high level scan tool in the process. Having a lab scope is essential for working and modern cars that use the can bus system. Only today in writing this review did I discover some missing leads that were suppose to come with the product as I found the hidden compartment in the box that they came in! See added picture for details. I purchased an extended warranty for this unit as I feel it is well worth the cost and additional security. Really enjoying this product!

Awesome scope for the price! Quality all around. I use with a laptop and easy to install software and run. Yes a Pico has more features but for my money this does everything I need in a professional car shop.no instructions came with it-they’re online.

Being a european shop owner coming from from a dealership that I had access to an oscilloscope I was looking to add one to my tool inventory. Having an autel maxisys scan tool I was considering this one along with two other oscilloscopes. After doing my research I decided on the autel unit oscilloscope. And when the time came to use it for a diagnosis on a no start issue on a x5 it was everything I could have asked for in an oscilloscope. Had the issue traced with in a short time and had the repair in place and a now running vehicle. I look forward to using it again. And hopefully trying out the amp reading probe with a parasitic draw.

Now that it's set up the scope works great and the included equipment is decent. Most of the equipment is Hantek branded and the software has channel preset options for hantek ammeters. Much better looking readings compared to the picoscope 2204 or whatever because this is a 12 bit scope rather than 8 bit. Worth the extra money. Type in "$60 vs $1600 oscilloscope test" into youtube and skim through siu automotive's testing of 4 different priced oscilloscopes on cars if you want to see how this thing performs relative to others. My only real complaint is that there was an issue with the program saying something about the hardware didn't match the software, check for update. Then I'd check and it says there's no update. After trying out 3 different laptops, I called their tech support who immediately knew what to do because they've "been having this issue for a couple weeks." He emailed me the proper updates and it all worked great after that. I'm still pretty annoyed that I couldn't use the thing until days after I bought it and that it was a known issue that they should've already taken care of by putting the correct update file on their website. Overall pretty satisfied with the purchase, just wish their wasn't the hiccup with the updates but I guess it's to be expected with a brand like autel. Just know to call their customer support if you have the same issue.
