work with guitar finishes?

The tinted fill in the tubes probably not. It’s not glossy like a guitar finish although you might be able to cover it with a glossy clear coat once it dries. The markers are a little glossier but you can’t mix them to get exactly the color you want like you can with the tubes. I used the tubes on some kitchen cabinets and they worked really well, drying to a satin finish similar to the original.

Probably. I’d say it depends on the size you’re trying repair. I’d also suggest coating the wood with some sort of protective coating to help seal from the elements.
