Close Shave, Easy To Clean and Good Battery Life
Being ex-military I would normally have chosen to have a wet shave in the morning. I got to the stage where I was in a bit of the rush to get out of the house and wanted something a bit quicker and easier. This Philips shaver is ideal. It has 3 shaving heads which give you a close enough shave so that you don't have to worry about a 5 o'clock shadow later in the day. It is also very easy to clean. Turn on a tap and hold the shaver head under running water to wash the stubble out and then dry it with a towel. It is that simple. The battery life is very good too. It lasts about a month without needing to be recharged.

Thigh Performance shaver
Supported elderly neighbour with purchasing this item. Was unsure after looking in chemist &!electrical shops which to get. Then looked online various website , then came across this particular brand . Ordered It arrived the next day with some charge. Charged up couple hours . Best shave he’s had for a very long time . As we know with aging , tendency to wards more difficult areas to such as sunken cheeks . Very sharp bladesThis shaver did it magic, it works beautifully easy to use ,clean & charge up. No cleaning brush in packaging so soft old toothbrush can be deployed.. Easy to grip great functionality & design even for somone with arthritic wrist or hands It was a good price

Very good but no head cover, trimmer needs to be snapped on and off
I like this shaver, it's effective, the head moves and is flexible and is easy to wash and clean under the tap. Seemingly it's always on sale so the RRP is a little misleading but it's good value if you can get it, especially if it's available for under £60. The downsides? It needs to be charged in the mains with a standard 3-point UK plug whereas a USB might be more useful and indeed it cannot be charged using a the standard bathroom mains shaver socket either. The shave does NOT come with a cover for the heads so not ideal for travelling either. A weird omission. Finally, the trimmer has to be snapped on separately which surprised me and is clearly a money-saving issue from Philips. If you want to use the trimmer then you have to pull the 3 heads off and attach the trimmer by snapping it on to the top of the shaver. Then you have to pull it off to reattach the shaver/razor heads. I don't like this at all as all my previous shavers have trimmers built it. But - I do like this largely because I rarely use the trimmer

A wet shave is preferable but it’s ok
I bought this as I’m hospitalised and struggling to have a wet shave. It keeps me tidy but it’s not like having a wet shave. The attachment for sideburns feels cumbersome and poorly designed. I’d much prefer a cutting flap that pops out at the side. Maybe I should have looked around more before purchasing this one. A nice shaver to hold and use though. I’m surprised how slow it is, feels like I haven’t charged it fully even after 24 hours on charge.

Its fantastic!!
Ive been humming & harring over buying a new electric shaver for a good while.... but worried it would be as uncomfortable as my old one (the one I've not used for 10 years!) that irritated my skin something awful! Settled for a series 5000 and im really taken aback. Ive about 4 days growth (had), and it whizzed it off in a couple of minutes. No pulled hairs, no discomfort, no patches.... what an improvement over my old one - like night and day! Very smooth... very very impressed. Love it

Consider the Connection for Recharging.
It seems to do the job as intended, although I found gripping the razor without inadvertently turning it off a surprising issue, although I dare say I will get used to holding it differently. The only other issue that surprised me is that of connection for recharging. Who has a three pin plug in the bathroom? I have only come across a two pin on razor sockets, although I can buy an adapter no doubt. I also noticed wjhen searching for a replacement that most of the Philips razors now aooear to want to recharge via a computer USB socket. Why? I have no desire to attach my razor to my computer and surely Philips are excluding everyone who does not have a computer, which seems adsurd.
