Great knife at this price point!
Clean, sharp and great form factor. Easy maintenance, just standard hand washing. Rust resistance and retains is edge well. Soft handle wood makes it easy to handle and is easy on the hands. Nothing flashy but a great work horse knife. Use it daily for proteins and soft vegetables in smaller portions meals.

Not just a bargain, It is one of my favorite kitchen knives for most uses.
Sturdy handle, sharp edged and very well balanced, a must get.

Ok starter knife
It is light and the handle to blade ratio is fine. Since it is 15 dollars, it came with an uneven tip with slight discoloration or rust? I tried the paper sharpness test but it barely cut through with force. I think this is a good starter knife to practice with and to perfect sharpening with a whetstone.

Good starter knife if you don't plan to buy any more
Decent knife. very light. grip is ok but feels like unfinished wood. also the bolster is a raw edge so it's a bit rough on your finger. Would invest in something a little higher quality if really interested in japanese knives

Blade is very good quality
Love these knifes. I bought the whole set. They cheap for those who don't wanna pay 200 each for a knife that does the same thing. The handles are lightweight wood that is unfinished and can be finished by the user. Blade is very sharp on some of the knifes. You will need to sometimes sharpen them once received if you bought a few.

Grate knife
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I wax coded the handle for more Grip and to seal it, cuts really well for a cheap kitchen knife

Pretty sharp. Bang for the buck.
At this price, the blade is a bargain. Pretty sharp. Product made in Japan always meet expectation.

It's a budget knife
This is very much a budget knife - the steel is quite soft and easily misaligned, requiring frequent honing. The knife also doesn't seem to hold an edge for too long, but if you know how to sharpen it, it isn't a problem. The handle is pretty rough - I smoothed it down and finished it with some board oil to make it nicer to handle. Overall you get what you pay for, so no real complaints.
