Good size, and the rubber is very thick and robust. It can be used as a coffee tool station or a tamping station. I have several coffee mats, but this one definitely has a permanent place on my table.

Good portafilter mat, could be a little thicker
I ordered this affordable tamping mat for my espresso maker setup. I already have a larger mat on my coffee bar, however I needed a tamping mat to be able to easily clean, instead of moving everything on the coffee bar to clean. I normally used a paper plate as a tamping mat. I found this great item on Amazon, price was reasonable and shipped very fast. It simply works, I only wish it was a little thicker, feels too soft but gets the job done. All in all this was a great Amazon find,
