Good option
Good router for the price. Setup was quick and easy through the app. Speeds are fast and stable, even with multiple devices connected. WiFi 6 support makes a noticeable difference in performance. Range is decent but could be better for larger homes. Overall, a reliable upgrade.

The device is good. But if you want to replace it with the one in your home you will need to contact your internet service provider (ISP) to give some credential to register the new router.

I’ve been running the Archer AX55 for a week now, and honestly — it’s been one of the most stress-free upgrades I’ve made in years. Here’s the lowdown: 🛠 Setup Plug it in, open the app, done in under 10 minutes. The TP-Link Tether app is actually decent (rare for router apps, which are usually garbage). You don’t have to be some networking wizard — it’s super intuitive. 📶 Performance The Wi-Fi 6 speeds are excellent. My old router was choking with more than 6–7 devices online; this one easily handles 10+ (laptops, phones, smart TVs, a couple of cameras) without flinching. — 5 GHz band is rock solid — great for streaming, gaming, Zoom calls, whatever. — 2.4 GHz still covers the house for low-bandwidth stuff like smart bulbs. I’ve got about 1,600 sq ft, and it covers the whole space, even spilling into the garden. ⚡ Stability What surprised me most? Stability. I haven’t had to reboot this thing once since installing it. No random disconnects, no weird drops at night. It just sits there and does its job quietly — which is exactly what you want from a router. 🌟 Extras It’s got decent QoS, OFDMA, and WPA3 support if you’re nerdy enough to care. But even if you’re not, it comes preconfigured smart enough for 99% of people. 👎 Any downsides? — No multi-gig WAN/LAN ports. But if you’re not running fiber >1 Gbps, you won’t care. — The UI in the browser could be prettier, but eh — minor gripe.

I've had this router for about a week now, and would recommend it. I'm now able to fully utilise the capabilities of my 802.11ax devices, and there is no longer any slowing down from having 20+ devices connected to the home network. It's a very cost effective upgrade from the standard router that your ISP gives you (which was wifi 5 in my case), with much better wifi signal throughout the house. Very easy to setup and use as well with the TP link tether app.

After suffering with unreliable Virgin Media WiFi coverage in a small house for 7 years or so using their Hub 3 and Hub 4, I finally reached breaking point and thought I'd take a chance on this to see if it would solve our problems. Virgin Media were not interested in the slightest when I contacted them regarding the very poor WiFi coverage and offered to send me some WiFi extenders for an additional monthly cost! Needless to say I didn't take them up on their offer. After putting the Hub 4 into modem mode, I had the WiFi router up and running within 5 minutes using the Tether app. This has completely transformed the WiFi coverage in the house. We can now connect at full speed all around the house. The difference is night and day. There are lots of additional options on the router such as connecting up to a VPN service. Our wireless printer which had always suffered with the VM hubs connected to this quickly first time and is now working as it should have done in the first place! This is an excellent product for a fair price, especially for those suffering with the poor performance of the VM hubs. Just wish I'd bought it a lot sooner!
