I bought the mixer about 2 years ago to mix dog biscuit dough. I mix about 1500g of dough every 10 days or so. It was really hard work to knead by hand. The mixer is wonderful. It just keeps mixing for as long as it takes, without even getting warm.I do have to scrape the dough from the side of the bowl, but I'd expect that. The dough hook is either a light metal or that plastic stuff with a silvery coating but it is as good as new. I don't use the lid for the bowl, it just gets in the way and it's a pity the bowl has a "spun" surface inside as the dough sticks to it more than to the smooth interior of the hand mixing bowl, but I guess that's what makes the metal bowl robust but light weight. It's easy to wash. Just fill the bowl with water and leave to soak for a few minutes.Update 30 July 2025: It stopped working today. I think the motor has burned out. It has been really good. I have used it every 5 days for some time now

works well for the price

For a small mixer , it can handle big stuff. Dough, pastry. And it doesn’t take all of your kitchen space. I made some potato cakes and used the mixer to mix everything together.It’s going to come in handy over Christmas.

If the product description had been accurate I would have given 5 stars. However, I was expecting a stainless steel bowl and attachments and to me, they are a fairly flimsy aluminium. Hence the instructions not to put in dishwasher!. Mixes well and is a compact size and not too expensive but really let down by the aluminium tools and bowl. The product information needs to be corrected
