This was a great purchase. I was looking for a new knife set and did some research, and this was a great deal. Nice weight to the knives. Makes for easy chopping, fileting, etc. Nice balance. Super sharp. It says they can be washed in a dishwasher, but I don't. I just wash them immediately after use and then store them. After years of using subpar knives, this set is a fantastic find.

For Father’s Day I sent my husband to a Tender BBQ Pitmaster course. The restaurant owner taught the class himself, and this is the set he uses. The entire class was enthralled by the sharpness and beauty of his knives. He was kind enough to send me the info so I could get a set for hubby’s birthday. He loves them!

These are very beautiful knives and work very well. However, they are not stainless as they do rust. Make sure you dry immediately after washing and don't ever leave them wet or in the sink.

I Love everything about these knives...Hint: knives don't belong in the dishwasher..,. All knives are hand washed (with cutting glove on) and air dried.. handles and knives blades are in awesome shape and sharp and no color change !!!Do not put in dishwasher!!!!

These are beautiful knives and the display case that they sit in makes them a center point in any kitchen. This set would make an amazing Christmas gift. They are extremely sharp and look and feel like the most expensive knives that you have ever owned. Dr Glenn Ekblad, DO.

These are gorgeous. They are very shiny and reflective and they came sharpened with knife covers. Gorgeous set.

these things are sharp, and not just the blade, they're a really nice looking knife set. the handle is a nice wood that feels really solid and is my preference as they don't tend to slip when your hands are wet like plastic or metal handles.the set is shipped in a basic cardboard package, no wood block here, which is preferable for me as i don't have much extra counter space. they come in plastic sheathes to protect the blade edge during shipping but id recommend getting a magnetic knife bar to hang them on if you want them to last. there's a really good assortment of blades for whatever you're cutting, including a cleaver which comes in handy for cutting bone or gristle. the only knife i really wish was included is an 8 inch chefs knife, its my personal favorite but the santoku is just as useful and can be substituted easily.the only issue i've encountered is that the food can sometimes stick to the blade when slicing, something i thought the textured design would have helped with. not a huge deal breaker but a little aggravation.

Functional, sharp, beautiful, ergonomic, nice quality

Have had mine for 9 months now and still sharp and still look great.But the reason for the 4 star is because they are not dishwasher safe. I asked and was told it was fine but the wooden handles have all lost there polished look after 2 washes so stick to hand wash if you want to keep the polished look.And for the people saying there rusting, they don't know anything about knives. All high end knives will tell you they need to be dry as soon as you wash them and thoroughly to avoid rust. High end sharp metals tend to rust the easiest even with anti rust coatings especially when you cutting thing that have high acidity like Onions or tomatoes so please don't listen to these people. They are great knives but they just need to be taken care of like any high end equipment. Just because they are expensive doesn't mean they are magical.Even after 9 months they are also still extremely sharp to the point where the knife cut through the tea towel and then me and I ended up needing stiches, however it was my own fault for not paying attention. Like I said, take care of them and they will last....Just be carefull with them.

The media could not be loaded. Although the price the comfort and the look of the blade is good. unfortunately after a week all the blades have began to rust.I have never been so disappointed I've bought cheap knives at Kmart that are a higher quality.
