Does anyone know the footprint on this? can it be set up in a 1 car garage or basement with 7 foot ceilings during the winter months?

The top arm pivots down so, theoretically, it could be set up in a large basement, but you would have to take it apart first to get it down the stairs as it is a very large piece of equipment. I store mine in a detached garage, but it takes up a lot of room. It is light enough to move but it is large. You should allow at least 7 feet in height and another 7 or 8 feet in length as the top and bottom poles and the rear feet take up quite a bit of space for stability reasons. And for swinging indoors you will also need another 8 to 10 feet in width for safety reasons. Hope this helps.

Does it come with a softball kit, or baseball kit, or both?

This machine comes with a Softball Kit only. You can add a baseball kit if you need both

Is this good for high school players?

Absolutely, this machine is for all players regardless of age and skill level for Home Training. For Team Use over 13u, I would highly recommend the Fast Pitch Traveler Machine

Does it fold up for travel?

This machine folds base to frame in less than a minute and can be transported with an SUV, mini van or truck easily. The Fastpitch traveler model has a tri fold which allows it to fold into a travel bag to fit in almost all vehicles
