Extra Crisp EY150840 Air Fryer Lid – 1300W / Black Cook4me Air frying lid

I asked for the Cook4Me Tefal pressure cooker. And I use it about 4 days a week. It suits a busy lifestyle where you need to cook something nice in a short time. Perfect for pre-frying ingredients and fast stress free pressure cooking of stews, curries etc. Auto switch to keep warm mode. A million years ahead of conventional pressure cookers. Then Airfryers became the norm. But we all want to keep as much worktop space clear as possible. And appliance manufacturers could fill ANY size worktop! So I decided on the Tefal Air Frying lid so that I didn't have another worktop footprint. It works perfectly and the food in the Cook4Me bowl is really easy to clean with the quality Tefal coating. Full marks. But I don't air fry as much as I thought i would:-) But great if you don't need the oven for something else.

This whole set-up is absolutely brilliant, the only time the main kitchen oven is on now is for roast dinners and pizzas. I've used the Cook 4 Me+ and this Extra Crisp attachment for over two years now, and nearly all the weekday staple meals are cooked with it so it's well worth the position on the kitchen worktop. Dishes such as pasta, curries, anything you would otherwise use a hob for are done in the Cook 4 Me using the browning function which acts as a hob - the bonus is no mess, no sauce splashes, and can dishwash the main bowl. Then add the crisp attachment for grilling grated cheese on top or crisping anything up if desired. Say I was wanting to have thick fish cakes and salad for tea, I would use the airfry function. Perfectly cooked every time with a crispy outer and steaming hot inner. The airfry cookes great oven chips, foil sealed fish, roasted cauliflower, sausage & bacon etc anything you want crispy and cooked through. The bowl is very high quality non-stick, two years on it's still in good condition. Roast function for roast meats, quorn roast or jacket potatoes etc takes the same time as the oven, but a much smaller amount of energy required, and consistent excellent results. Bake function for muffins, cakes etc. I don't use this one much, don't really do much in the way of baking, but it worked a charm when I did. The limitation here is the surface area of the bottom of the bowl, but it's helpful you can adjust the cooking temperature. Then added to all this is the excellent pressure cooker function which is handy for so, so many things. From par-boiling masses of potatoes for roast dinners, to fast soups and sauces, and making dogfood from carcasses and veggies, I use this function often. I absolutely love this set up and would recommend to anyone. Two years on it's all still in great shape even with older kids using it for most of their adhoc meals too. I must have saved a small fortune by not using the main kitchen oven regularly for over two years. Highly recommend.

It's made to go with the Tefal Cook4me - but I got it to go on top of my 5.7L Instant Pot to convert it from a pressure cooker to an air fryer when I want to airfry/bake stuff. It works really well, fits on top of the Instant Pot perfectly. I've air fried a few things and also baked a loaf of bread (cob shape). It has 4 preset settings and you can change the time up/down. I'm unable to manually change the temperature of those (unless it's in the instructions and I just haven't worked it out yet). If you're short of bench space but already have an Instant Pot this could be a useful addition. The main drawback is that air fryers are quite cheap now so even at reduced price this item is still rather expensive.

I am already using my "cook for me" more now as it is a great economic way to cook and this extra crisp turns it into an air fryer as well. Easy to use, feels robust and crisps up pressure cooked food beautifully. I love chicken cooked this way and lamb also came out really well. Will be trying more. The Tefal app is also a great help for timings for foods I haven't cooked before. No downside for me so far! I love it.

This is my second and I hope it lasts a bit longer. You need to raise food on a wire tray for baking and grilling. Does lovely chips.

Well I suppose it does what it says but it does not integrate with the Cook4me, I had expected to be able to use the downloaded menus with my connect version but you can't and have to enter everything manually. This just sits on the top of the Cook4me replacing the existing top (which still remains but hinged up) as you have to unplug the cook4me and plug this in instead you only have a top source of heat. It all seems very pointless and we seem to have bought something we will rarely use, in fact we have used it once but are unlikely to again a very expensive gadget with no real purpose.
