Jack Richeson Shiva Oil Paintstik, Iridescent Gold/Silver and Copper, Set of 3

Loved the idea of using these colours BUT .... The outer skin of these colours are so dry and thick and their size so tiny that when you use them, to get through the skin to the useable pigment you feel there's hardly anything of them, plus the inner paint is so soft that it gets used up very very quickly for what you finally get to use they are extremely poor value for money. If I could take the firmer but more consistent texture of Windsor & Newton oil bars and the colours of these mini bars, I'd be impressed but these leave a lot to be desired at this price.

The paintstiks came hard as hell. Only one of the three was as promised

Bought the mini set of metallics to try out in cold wax and oil painting artwork. They are creamy and have lots of metallic sheen. Goes on smoothly and works well for mark making on a cold wax/oil paint project. You just have to remember to pull away a bit of the 'skin' that forms to get to the creamy paint. It pops off as you use the stick also, so no problem and it keeps the paint inside nice and moist. I have used these with water mixable oil paints, no apparent odor. Less expensive than the pigment sticks. I am going to buy a couple of the sets of bright colors - hard to find oil colors in tubes in those color ranges.

Están secos, no funciona

First time using these Shiva sticks, they work very well and a little goes a long way. Easy to use, product goes on smoothly and you can wipe off excess if necessary. Dries to a beautiful hardened finish.
