Would this be good for my 9 year old?

Greetings. Honestly it would depend on how much the child is into baseball and their size. My grandson is 7 and has liked baseball since a young age. He has a good ability to throw and catch. He loved the glove and plays with it all the time but he’s at the age where the glove fits just right. I would be concerned about a child 2 years older that it could possibly be small. Maybe if the child is smaller in size it would work....

My son is left handed dominant. Will this glove work for him?

My grandson is right hand dominant and the glove fit on his left hand which would not work in your son’s case. Contact seller to see if they have a glove for the right hand so he can throw with his left.

Is this a good brand and glove fot a boy age 5 to learn to play tee ball?

I believe it is. The glove is pliable and the ball is soft, making learning how to play fun and not painful. I was really impressed with this toy for the price. I do recommend.

What material is it made of?

Well I'm not exactly sure what it's made out of but it's not leather. I can tell you this, my grandson got it when he was 3 and loved it and still plays with it and at 4. It's good quality and the best thing about this , is the ball. It's just like a major league but soft. So if you little guy or girls misses the catch there is no bruises. I definitely recommend this product.
