Hub is sticky and smelly rubber unlike a Mercury hub which is hard composit plastic. I guess the soft rubber dampers the gear shifting which, is still a bit clunky. I just hope that it doesnt melt from heavy use. Had this happen to a Turning Point hub and I wasn't even stuck in sand!
