I bought this for a different purpose. I had a troublesome armadillo tearing up the yard and flowerbeds. He avoided my live traps so I got this with an extendable handle to try to gig him through that tough shell. The stainless steel is really strong and heavy. Points are extremely sharp with a great pattern to insure you don't miss small game. I've used it 3-4 times and it is still solid and useful. This is a dangerous item and not to be left out where kids can play with it. It has solved 2 of my problems for a little money. Well worth it! Still as good as new. I hope you are able to make use of it too.

Works really well you can dig fish frogs and all kinds of stuff with it if you’re gonna try to get like a 3 foot long catfish probably oughta get a solid pole for it

When this item arrived and I carefully fished it out of its shipping material I felt like Arthur raising excalibur above his head for the first time. A simple inspection of this "frog sticker" shows immediately that it is made out of the finest of materials. Should the zombie apocalypse arise, this frog gig will be my first hand melee weapon upon which I call. The design is flawless. I checked the spacing of the barbs with a micrometer and the tolerances are less than .0025 discrepancy which shows a level of craftsmanship superior to the hubble telescope (1st go around). This item was of excellent value as such fine craftsmanship and quality makes it priceless (if discovered in several thousand years as I plan to have it interned with my corpse when I pass). I use this spear for frog gigging. It is pretty tough considering it is telescoping! My only issue is the length.....I thought I had ordered the 6' version, but apparently not since I received the 4.5 footer. ( I would have got an 8-footer were one available!) Regardless, I'm happy with the spear and think it will last longer than most .

This is the fourth spearhead that I have bought the other three were junk. This one works great and it doesn’t rust in saltwater. Very happy with it.

I haven’t use it yet. It probably work once it is hook up to a pole, problem is I am trying to figure it out how to attach it to a pole...might have been better if it has e female thread that fits the size of broom or paint ruler poles where all you have to do is screw it in...I am ruling out the expensive commercial ones...till then it is still sitting in the drawer.

We nick-named this "The Harpoon". It is huge and great if you are standing in a boat or kayak and need to spear something that is a little further way. Not to heavy, I added it to a dowel from Home Depot. Pretty durable, always remember to wash it with Salt Away for a longer life. Looks like Poseidon's Trident!

I havnt tried it yet but it appears to be very well made & should last a long time
