Great scooter for kids who are getting too big for the smaller model!
My daughter absolutely loves this scooter. Big upgrade from the smaller one. She flies on this thing! I skateboard with her and am pretty good and I can't keep up if I tried. She has to slow down just to let me hang with! Quality seems top notch, it was easy to assemble and the scooter seems strong. I'm sure it will last a long time. The bigger wheels also make it smoother over bumpy services which is really nice compared to the smaller version. I like this design much better and it should fit her as she gets older since the older one was too small for her. Price also seemed really reasonable compared to other options! Really happy with this one!

Great scooter for college campus !! Great value too !!
I was looking for a lightweight scooter that my son to use around his college campus. Look at all the reviews of some of other brands like the Xootr, Exooter, Oxelo, etc.. But they were either too expensive (over $200) or too heavy (over 10 lbs). The A5 is less than 9 lbs and only $80. I initially looked at the Razor A6 since I liked the slightly bigger wheels. But then I noticed a folding design flaw that some readers reported that it has caused their handles to fold when riding (this happens if you don't tighten the folding screw hard enough). So with safety in mind, I chose the A5. It has a better fold/lock mechanism, cheaper than all of those mentioned before, and build with high quality. When you take it out of the box, you can tell that it is very sturdy and high quality. I feel very comfortable that my son can ride it, throws it around campus and it will still survive the everyday rigors. The locking mechanism is not 100% solid (has a little give) so it rattles a little when you move the handle. But when you put some weight on it, it is solid to ride on. I have been riding around the neighborhood the last week and it is very smooth and glide along the pavements just fine. I changed out the bearings with the Bones REDS Bearing and they made it even smoother. Definitely a good scooter and an even greater value at $80. Can't beat it !!

Smooth Ride and Durable – Perfect Scooter for Kids!
The Razor A5 Lux Kick Scooter is fantastic! The 8” urethane wheels provide a smooth, stable ride on different surfaces, making it great for both beginners and more experienced riders. The anodized finish with bold colors and graphics looks super cool and holds up well against scratches. It’s sturdy enough to support riders up to 220 lbs, so it’s perfect for kids 8 and up—and even teens can enjoy it. The adjustable handlebars make it easy to customize for a comfortable ride, and the foldable design makes it convenient to carry and store. Overall, this scooter offers great value, quality, and style. Highly recommend for active kids who love to scoot around!

Great commuter scooter
I live about a half-mile from my work in a medium-sized city. It's a comfortable 10-15 minute walk (mostly because of traffic lights), but part of why I moved so close was to cut my commute down to as short a time as possible. A bike was the obvious choice, but the time I'd lose locking and unlocking it would eat away some of the time I saved, plus I'd have to store it out in the elements, plus I'd have to ride it in the street (in a city where cars don't really watch for bikes), plus it could always get stolen, so I decided to look into something a little smaller. Which made me think of the little Razor scooter I had as a kid, and the fact that I'd vaguely heard of people using them to commute, especially in urban areas. So I did some research and eventually ended up getting this beauty. For a short commute on flat sidewalks, it's a dream. A 10-minute walk becomes an easy 5-minute scoot, and I can just carry it in and stow it under my desk. If the weather is bad, I can leave it behind and walk or even take it in someone's car if I catch a ride with a coworker. It's perfectly portable. I'll say that I get quite a lot of strange looks on it, and lots of comments, but most people find it weird/quirky in a good way, and I always explain that, believe it or not, it was the most practical choice. It rides very smoothly, much moreso than my childhood one ever did, and you can really glide down any little hills. Uphill isn't too bad either. It's easily twice as fast as walking, while not taking significantly more effort. I switch legs sometimes so that I don't accidentally build the muscle unevenly. The only thing "wrong" with mine is that the lever you use to fold/unfold it sometimes seems to jam, but I could probably remedy that if I took the time and effort to find the problem and apply some WD-40. Other than that, I've had no issues with it. It's a great little thing, and I hope more people start using them, if only so I'll get fewer weird looks in the future.

Not a Xootr, but pretty good
I ordered this for my kiddo. I own an original Xootr from the first year of production, and it's still going strong, so that's my basis for comparison. CONs: * Rattly from brand new. The pins that fit into the front recepticles after unfolding and lock it in riding position are slack in the slots, meaning they rattle and that makes the whole steering move. It feels like the headset is loose. (I checked, it's not.) I'll probably fill those with a pair of custom plastic bushing made from insta-morph plastic. *I'm 6'3", and this razor won't fit me comfortably. Sure, I could make it work, but the Xootr is a better fit. *Separable bars: I like the (fixed) handlebars better on the xootr than the disconnecting ones on the razors. They don't add that much to the folded dimensions, and they don't dangle from cheap bungie, as the Razor's bars do. *Still that little, narrow deck. I like a bigger deck, but hey, with a few screws and a piece of ply or carbon fiber panel, this would be a simple mod. PRO: * Nice big rear fender. That rear brake keeps street crud off the back of your legs. City street slime is gross, and the trails by us have all sorts of animal crap you'd rather not be wearing. * Nice front fender too! *The wheels on the razor are actually bigger than the Xootr, which is saying something. Big wheels are important. Before the Xootr, I tried commuting on the then-popular regular razor, and those little wheels were death on cracks or pavement irregularities. Bigger wheels deal much better. * 1/3 the price of the Xootr.

Hey, get this scooter!
Yesss yes yes!!!!! Get this! Don’t waste your money on the cheaper ones you find on here. I was fooled into buying a cheaper off branded one and it broke after a week. This one though.. has been AMAZING. my husband exceeds the weight limit and it still holds very strong. Easy assembly. Great overall product!

My 7 year old loves it! Quality product
I bought this for my son's 7th birthday. It's wonderful and he loves it. It's lightweight, easy to use, and the adjustable handlebars will allow it to grow with him. His older brother has had an older Razor scooter similar to this for the past few years and it's quality and ability to stand up to rigorous use impressed me. Both boys love how stable the scooter is, that they can put both feet on the large base when gliding, the ease of breaking with the rear brake, and the kick stand that allows the scooter to be free standing when not in use. This is a quality product and I would definitely buy from Razor again.

Overall still a nice scooter
Very nice pink. However, the handle still wobbles a little despite tightening the Allen key.
