Easy to install; grip very well!
Updated review after about a year of use: these are still holding up so very well! Nothing is showing bad wear, and they aren’t coming loose. They still look good. So happy with this purchase and they haven’t disappointed me!——- —- These Grip Strip treads are a hard plastic-like material, so don’t expect soft rubber material. They have nubbly bumps all over them that will help secure your footing—if you walk on them barefoot, it’s going to be a bit uncomfortable as they are a little sharp but when I put on my thinner flip-flops and tried them out, I didn’t feel a thing. My outdoor steps become super slippery and I’ve slipped on them twice in the last year and hurt myself, but when I tried adhesive strips that cost less, they peeled off rather quickly in our mountain weather of snow, ice, cold, warm, rain, and for me, a lot of trees and shade and droppings from trees. I did a lot of research and looking around for something better and these Grip Strips seem to be the answer. They aren’t cheap—for the size I received, they are about $54 for 8 of them, but worth every penny if they stop me from slipping on very slippery stairs, or someone else from doing so! And so far, so good. I put down two for each stair, just to be sure. They were very easy to install—went quite fast actually. They supply the screws. Just screw them in, then loosen the screws a little bit, and you are done. The tools we used are: hammer, Phillips head screw driver. That’s it. They look better installed than I thought, but had they been ugly I woudln't care—no more slipping and dang near breaking a leg or arm. My stairs don’t receive much sun at all, and they can become treacherous when it rains a lot. But, I’m also curious to see how they’ll do in ice/snow and I have confidence they’ll do great. It cost me $200 to do all the stairs, with two on each stair, but I think it’s worth it. There simply aren’t that many options out there for stair tread safety that are not adhesive, so I’m happy to have found these screw down treads.

Solid product choice
While I have not had these installed long enough to determine durability over time, my introduction to them is very positive. They work as intended in keeping my older steps from becoming dangerously slick in the rain and light snow, and were easy and quick to install with the provided screws. Material seems durable and I do not anticipate them wearing out anytime soon. I have repurchased a second order to be used on my boat house.

Anti Slip Saved my backside
Made in Canada a plus. Sturdy, Anti-Slip Saved me from sliding and prevented a fall within 24hrs of placing them on my ramp and steps. Easy to install, Have held up and been tested by several heavy fronts, 3 snows and refreezes. Grip Strips are the way to go. The cost is higher than others and now they charge for shipping. That being said you cannot put a true price on their value in regards to preventing slips and falls and poterntially more expensive visits to an ER or hospital.

pretty good, with some flaws
I just installed these today, and the weather is clear and dry, so I can't really speak to how they work for the intended purpose. They do seem pretty grippy and would probably be uncomfortable on bare feet. I'm pretty confident they will stop slipping and will stay put. However, I noticed that they are neither perfectly flat or straight. They are "good enough" for most purposes, and your eye might never notice, but if you are a perfectionist, or you are using a template to install them (like I did), then you will notice and it will be annoying. I'm also a little concerned because they are not laying totally flat. They are close enough, but I can see that dirt and debris might start to accumulate in the very small gaps under some of them. A few extra screws would have solved this. I may end up just adding some more on my own. I have some metal treads on my front steps. They look nicer and are flat and straight with lots of screws. They are also way more expensive. These are good enough for a reasonable price, if you have a lot of steps in an area where appearance isn't as important.

Pricey but does the job!
These grip strips are a pricey option but in my opinion are worth the money since they will last forever and provide excellent grip. I've installed these on my slippery wooden steps leading to my front porch and on the wooden ramp leading into my shed. These do a great job keeping me from slipping on my butt! I first noticed grip strips being used by my township across wooden walking bridges, so I knew I was getting a professional grade product.

Great for slippery, treated lumber stairs.
These treads work great, especially on treated lumber stairs - where there is very little sun. Great traction for shoes, and I wouldn’t worry about pets. Pets will learn to step around them. The screw length is more than adequate for solid lumber.

These treads are great for ohio weather
I bought these five or six years ago. I had to replace the screws because they rust it out, but the treads are just fine. And they survive when I have to use the ice chipper to break the ice that forms on my ramp. They gave me peace of mind. For getting my husband in and out of my house in his wheelchair. Very good quality for the price and easy to put on. I had to have another smaller ramp put for my back.Door and my shed, so I ordered some more. Those got lost in the shipping and the company sent me some new ones which did arrive to my house. I have forever grateful because that helped me get my husband out of my house when I had to get him out when we had a gas leak.

Perfectly suited to deck stairs
Everyone in a while you come across a perfectly engineered product , and here it is. Fits effortlessly to your treated deck stairs , I recommend #8 x 1 GRK " cabinet fasteners treated for pressure treated wood contact. Exactly the same color and seamless flush fit in the slot. Perfect design, and grip like a champ. Hats off to the designer, you solved my concern with wet outdoor stairs.

Really work, quality product!
We have 5 wooden steps to our front door porch in southern Alberta Canada where ice forms quickly in our always melting/freezing environment. We ordered the package of 8 and it arrived within a few days as promised. The product including the black screws were of very high quality. The kit was very easy to install and looks great! The video explains it all, I recommend watching it. When we viewed this product and saw how easy it would be to have a solution so simple we had to try it as there have been a few incidents where visitors and our family members have slipped. Now over the holidays and lots of snow this year we've heard lots of compliments on how great the strips look and work well! We were short shipped one tread, we advised Amazon and immediately someone from GripStrip advised us that a 2 pack should be to us within a couple of days. We received the 2nd shipment as promised, stellar customer service was greatly appreciated! Yes we highly recommend this product and would definitely purchase again

Worth the investment!
I have had these sitting in my cart for over a year now but did not want to justify the price. Originally I was going to get black but found out my dog suddenly went blind in one eye and ordered yellow instead to help him see it. Unfortunately he went blind in the other eye before these arrived so now its a bit of an eye sore against my newly stained deck. However, they work GREAT! The texture has even helped my dog find the stairs and give him a good grip in this winter weather we are having in northern BC. I ordered two packs of 8 but have only installed 5 so far (of the 16), I am wanting to see if they crack when someone (someone = my dad) steps on them in -20 with his cleats. I expect they would split so am aware of this as they are quite a thin plastic, so am glad I ordered more. I have a couple of other areas to install the rest but will keep a few extra in case I need to replace the ones on the front steps. I did sand them down a bit with 120 grit sand paper to make sure they don't hurt my pup's paws - made sure I could put all my weight on them with bare feet before installing them. If you worry about slipping in the winter when things are icy, I 100% recommend you bite the bullet and purchase these. Safety is no joke!
