Such a terrific movie -- a fun and poignant ride!
I love this movie so much, and am both surprised and not surprised that there wasn't more buzz about it when it was in the theatres. The acting was terrific (I'm such a Britt Robertson fan now!), I still laugh out loud on repeat viewings as the dialogue is so strong, and Hugh Laurie's monologue at the end gets me every time. On top of all the awesomeness, the message at its core is that we each have a role to play in the future of our world — which, IMHO, makes this movie required viewing for kids and adults alike. Two thumbs very enthusiastically up.

Hopeful and Inspiring Surprisingly GREAT!
I saw this movie advertised years ago and I scrolled right past it because I had no idea what it was about and I wasn't curious. Recently someone told me that they saw it and they said that it was an amazing movie. They, however, gave me very few details as to not give away anything relevant. I decided to rent Tomorowland and I must say I was pleasantly surprised, so much so that now I am going to buy the movie! Believe it or not this movie ranks right up there with The Matrix and a few of my other favorite movies that I must watch at least once a year. Tomorrowland awakened the optimist that lie dormant inside of me for too long.If you want to feel good after a movie ends, and you want to remember that hopeful and happy place that usually only exist in children, this movie is for you. I'm still smiling and excited to own a copy so that I can rewatch it whenever I need a dose of hope.

100% children's movie with a balance of Mary Sue wokeness and deep message.
Safe for children. Minimal blood (aside from a brief quick healing nosebleed). Children with average IQs might not even notice people getting murdered left and right thanks to the advanced and highly effective weaponry used that would disintegrate its targets into a puff of ash. In fact, the movie goes out of its way to remind you who it's made for by avoiding any sense of realism and take young minds in a captivating beautiful journey into a mesmerizing beautiful world only the best strain of weed can make possible in the mind of a grown adult. The Mary Sue saves the world Main actress is zero depth and perfect in every possible way. In fact, if it weren't for a quick nosebleed, the movie offers zero clue that she's human. It's un-ironic how the movie's producer turned down an offer to be involved in Disney's version of the Star Wars franchise, which was responsible for taking the concept of Mary Sue to unprecedented levels. Now, for those of you reading this who probably missed the times the movie went out of its way to make it blatantly obvious that she is the definition of perfection, are probably wanting of some evidence to prove my point. If this is the case I cannot help you. But if you did notice I'll add that you probably missed that it would take an absolute genius to make a UAV out of a Blade 300X that not only you can control with a smartphone app, but a curious bystander can just snatch away from mid air without risking losing half of his face or at least, getting his fingers severely damaged. I must admit, the fact that I know this makes me as much as an Aspbergers type than makes her character a Mary Sue.The deep philosophical message Whether by accident or genius intent, the movie pulls off subtly offering a deep, timeless philosophical message about free will and media's influence on people, while providing the woke crowds the satisfaction that Hollywood has put out yet another climate change awareness lesson driven almost exclusively by need-no-man girl power, if it weren't for its fully disposable male counterpart.ConclusionIt's not very common when Hollywood puts together such a brilliant level of misdirection. It simultaneously feeds polar opposite crowds, keeping each busy watching one hand while doing something different with the other, and it does all of this in a package made for children and, at face value, by children.4 stars if you're a child between 1-7 years old.5 stars if you're woke.3.5 stars if you're dabbling into existentialism.2 stars if have Aspergers and like to pretend your opinion matters by creating a movie review.

A movie aimed at young adults which is engaging for adults also.
So this is a Young Adult movie (a YA), but actually, it is also interesting and engaging for adults for the most part. YA generally means plot-driven not character-driven, so, don’t expect a whole bunch of character development, (unless you love disappointment), but even so, this movie really works. All the lead actors work well together. George Clooney is a real bonus, but what is amazing is how giving he is to other actors the scenes he’s in. I guess he is George Clooney - and he’s one of Hollywood’s stand outs. But t, the art direction is also wonderful, as is the direction, plus the CGI sets. Good costuming, lighting, and the writing is engaging - even though the finale is not what one might have hoped for - but honestly, it so I frequently is. This movie is worth your time and watching it will not make you regret the time you spent on it. And for those who need religious and whatnot reviews - I don’t recall one piece of off-colour language and there were no mentions of Gods or, whatever religious people think of as non-gods.

A story about hope for the future
I was completely skeptical about this movie when I heard about it. How could they forge an entire film based upon one of the “lands” from Disneyland? I was happily surprised by this great family sci-fil story. It focuses upon Britt Robertson who is concerned about the planet and wants to find solutions. Her hope holds the future. She hooks up with George Clooney who is a cynical old man. They make the perfect duo. The story is full of wonder, adventure, creativity, excitement and surprises. It really will inspire you.

Great Modern Disney Movie
Really cute movie. Casted perfectly in my opinion. George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson, and all the others really sold it. This was instantly a household favorite for us and we got it for a great price with the Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital copy all included so now everyone has it available on their tablets and whatnot when we are on longer drives and entertainment is needed. Definitely recommended.

Good Film, nice picture, excellent sound
I love this film. It has some interesting ideas and lots of fun effects. It is not very serious but offers lots of action. Also, one of the best last lines ever from a dying robot. Amazingly, it sort of predicts the effect of fake news on the population. Fascinating, as Spock would say.

Don't expect the artwork they're advertising. You get generic case. No sleeve.
I know what the film is about as I've seen it before. What I am upset about is the fact I ordered this item with the limited edition artwork (the outer sleeve) which I didn't receive. This isn't the first time this has happened and it's REALLY annoying. If I wanted the generic case artwork I could have purchased this for cheaper elsewhere. Why is this such a problem? This also happens with some 4k UHD films I've purchased. It's not fair to the customer. Either sell the item as described or don't advertise it as such!

Can we fix it? Yes we can!
This ambitious, stylish and visually stunning SF fantasy family movie is marvellously entertaining with impressive CGI effects, refreshing optimistic energy and delightful humour with its Fringe-lite scenario. Despite its convoluted plot, uneven narrative and occasional preachy moments there is no doubting its charm whose cinematography at times has a feel of Terry Gilliam with its breath-taking Jetson-esque utopian future-retro cityscape complete with Art Deco skyscrapers, monorails and floating swimming pools. There are some tremendous set pieces in particularly the fight scene in the SF memorabilia shop Blast from the Past and the robotic siege of an inventor’s house (reminiscent of Zulu and Attack on Precinct 13). The three leads give good value - George Clooney as a disillusioned reclusive former boy-genius inventor, Britt Robertson as a feisty optimistic teenage scientist and a wonderful performance by Raffey Cassidy as Athena, a young girl from another dimension on a mission, while Hugh Laurie is suitably villainous as the head honcho of the elusive Tomorrowland. Flawed, granted, but a fabulous fun-filled film which I will be re-watching.

Doesn't have the courage of its convictions.
It's the last act that we remember a movie by, as Robert McKee (well, Brian Cox) tells Charlie Kaufman (well, Nic Cage) in Adaptation. Spoilers coming up now, because the first two acts of this movie are full of wit, charm and inventiveness. On the strength of just those 90 minutes I'd have given it 5 stars. Then we get to act three and we discover that the antagonist is not a Bond villain, but a genuinely disappointed idealist. He hasn't got an evil plan, he just has the wrong plan for trying to do good. Interesting so far. But then it's as if another writer took over, and it all gets lost in over-busy violence that feels like a lot of running around getting nowhere. And to round it off, the adversary character has to die because - well, because villains always have to die in movies nowadays, don't they? Hollywood would apply capital punishment just for not being very nice. The trouble is, since the whole point of the story is about the importance of having a hopeful & upbeat approach to the future, ending it with fights, explosions and gratuitous deaths is a cop-out. A less mean-spirited way to go about it would be to show the baddie how wrong he was - which could still be done dramatically, btw; I'm not proposing it should fizzle out into a lecture. But that would have taken a cleverer and braver approach to the writing. You can just see the studio execs dropping their cigars in dismay and saying, no, no, the Big Bad has to die, it's a rule, get another writer. But the end result is that it leaves the whole movie with a bad taste. It didn't have the courage of its convictions.

Best Experience Ever!
'Tomorrowland' is a Sci-fi Adventure where a teenage girl called 'Casey' (played by Britt Robertson known for films such as 'The Longest Ride') finds a mysterious pin with her belongs and once the pin is touched it transports her to Tomorrowland. However, The pin only works temporary meaning she would have to travel there in order to stay longer. However, There are some bad guys who are after her and another robot girl she makes friends with... But I won't say anymore about the storyline because the less you know about the plot, then the more enjoyable the film is. But what I will say is what a BRILLIANT FILM this is! The plot was gripping with many twists and it keeps you hooked until the very end. The special effects are the best I have ever seen and are jaw dropping. The cast do fantastic with their performance epically George Clooney (from films such as 'Gravity' etc.) who plays 'Frank' aswell as Britt Robertson who played the role of the teenage girl really well. The soundtrack also sounded brilliant and the enemies were very well delivered. The film is 130 minutes long which I was concerned about before watching, as most films with run times over 2 hours tend to bore me but due to the pacing and interesting plot of this film then I was hooked and didn't get bored in the slightest. This film could have even been made longer. There are a few downsides as I would have loved to have seen more of Tomorrowland and also I didn't like the ending of the film as it was a bit confusing and felt a little silly, but I am not going to say why because I will spoil it. Lastly, I would like to mention this is one of the best Blu-rays I have ever bought as the picture quality was superb and there wasn't any grain visible and the colours and scenery looked very realistic. I even thought I was watching 4K quality at first. Also the sound is awesome and makes you feel you are actually in the film. The sound effects which came out of my Soundbar were some of the best I have heard and gave me one of the best home cinema experiences ever!Overall, This is a film for everyone! and its one of the best Sci-fi films I have ever seen! Just buy this film (and if you can try and get it on Blu-ray) and enjoy an experience of a life time!

Endearingly daft fun
Tomorrowland is a film stuffed full of ideas, ambition and imagination - these doesn't always work exactly as intended but I found enough enjoyment in these two hours to make it all a worthwhile endeavour. The film throws together an enthusiastic teenage girl named Casey (a bright and sparky Britt Robertson) and an older inventor named Frank (an amusingly cranky George Clooney) in an endearingly absurd, old school sci-fi adventure flick. An eclectic, recognisable cast fill out the more minor roles in a tale that flies along, taking in robots, jet packs, laser guns, rockets, alternate dimensions and more along the way.It doesn't always totally make sense, I spied Damon Lindelofs name as co-writer and this does feel kinda like one of his head scratching attempts at plotting. It seems like way more fun to just go with it though - visually it looks fantastic, there's some good humour in the scripting and the performances and the pace is fast enough to keep things hurtling along without dwelling on any minor missteps.I don't think it's achieved the truly memorable wide eyed wonder that Disney were perhaps aiming for but it ticks enough of the right boxes to make it daftly enjoyable family friendly fare.
