The camera I received did have a narrow field of view as advertised. Many of these cameras have 120+ degree FOV but this one was exactly what I needed for my project. This camera includes an IR cut filter, but it's very easy to unscrew the lens and pry out the filter with small tweezers. Didn't even break the filter. Will likely be buying more of these.

I didn’t dive very deep into the technical specs on this camera module before ordering it. My main goal was to have something small and inexpensive to experiment with, and it's fine for that. It worked without drama with my ESP32 boards. Image quality is about what you’d expect from a camera this small - not amazing, but perfectly usable for testing, prototyping, and general tinkering. For proof-of-concept projects or learning how to handle image capture and processing on a microcontroller, it does the job. If you're legitimately working on a specific project, please do consider those technicals - FOV, image formats, etc., and make sure this is what you want. There are better cameras out there for one specific use case or another- YMMV with any of them. For casual experimentation and having parts on hand to play with, though, this is a solid little module.

As a tinker toy, it's a great buy, easy to plug in. The con is that resolution is pretty bad for all but the most specialized applications.
