I've tried aftr market filter b4 & they clogged up the system 2 the point of the fan felt under strain. does your filter have the same airflow as oem?

Excellent observation. This is a critically important topic. There are absolutely some generic third-party replacement filters that will severely restrict flow. In fact, we tested the flow characteristics of nearly every offering before deciding to create Crystalline. Rest assured you will not have any airflow issues (CFM) at any speed (1-6) and particle filtration will remain within specification across all six speed settings on the IQAir HealthPro Series air purifiers. Crystalline performance has been validated using a custom designed airflow measurement and particle detection system to ensure this exact question could be answered. Thank you for a fantastic question! Crystalline is an Ultra Premium Filtration product. An empirical validation is performed according to the European Standard EN1822-3 using a TSI-8130 to measure the MPSS efficiency. The Most Penetrating Particle Size for a HEPA filter is .3 micron. Particles smaller than .3 micron are captured at a higher efficiency than that of the .3 micron particle due to diffusion. Particles larger than .3 micron are captured at a higher efficiency than that of the .3 micron particle due to Inertial Impact and particle interception. The .3 micron particle is unique in its ability to be the size most able to penetrate a HEPA filter. This is why the standard empirical measurement is performed and provided for .3 micron, but yes... Ultra Fine Particulate at .003 micron is captured by Crystalline.

Affordable Option

I purchased your pre-filter about two years ago and it was a perfect fit. At the time you didn't have the HEPA option available. I just replaced both the pre-filter and HEPA with your product. Thank's so much for selling a more affordable option over the original filters. Both filters look very well made and fit perfectly. As for their effectiveness, well I have to trust you.

As Advertised

Product came exactly as advertised and works in my IQ Air unit. I can't speak to as if it filters as well as the OEM brand or not but I don't notice a difference. I'm hopeful that it is just as good because the price sure was better and it seems to be just as good functionality wise also. I would recommend this for anyone looking to save some money on filters.

Well packaged and seems to work. This supposed to be a hepa filter and really can't tell if it's doing what it's supposed to do.

used laser particulate meter to confirm performance

I previously used the IQAir brand HEPA filter, but wanted to see if a more affordable option could still perform as well. The readings on the initial IQAir HEPA filter (right on the outtake flow) were 0.4 ug/m^3 for both PM(2.5) and PM(10) particle size scales. Using this new PureIllusion HEPA filter, I obtained 0.5 ug/m^3 for PM(2.5) and 0.4 ug/m^3 for PM(10). For context, the ambient room readings were around 3 to 4 ug/m^3, and outside the readings were much higher. In summary, this filter appears to work just as well as the brand name.
