My water became very cloudy after feeding this food. I’ve been using a water softner that is supposed to be really good. What am i doing wrong?

Water softener removes calcium and magnesium which fish and plants need and replaces with salt. This isn't ideal in regards to pH stability for buffering needs. I have used this food for a few years and never had it cause cloudy water (Hikari for over 10 years no problem). Cloudiness can be due to a bacteria bloom. Learn about the nitrification cycle and it could be what allows a successful tank.

How long doesfish food stay fresh?

I use it to feed my guppies so I dont use a lot at a time. It stayed good for several weeks for me.

how many times a day should I feed my fish? How many fish should I put in a 29 gallon?

This assumes that we are talking about guppies. If so, I feed mine once a day. As for the quantity of fish, the rough ratio is 1 one-inch fish per 3 to 5 gallons, so a 29 gallon take should take 6 to 10 guppies. Keep in mind that if you have both male and female guppies, you will probably get babies as well.

What is the expiration date?

Mine is good till 2020, the expiration date is on the back in the lower left hand corner.
