Great for little cuts that bleed a lot
I bought this in CVS and I ran out at like 2am on a random Wednesday night so of course I got more from Amazon! This is one of those "must have" items for me since I get a lot of cat scratches. I cut my finger tip on a metal can lid and it's one of those places where it's hard to put a Band-Aid. It's also hard to keep pressure on it to make the bleeding stop. This product is great for that type of paper cut that is also bleeding heavily. This is a small sheet of material that will stick to the wound and help it stop bleeding. It's more precise than a styptic pencil and easy to cover up with a Band-Aid. So you should be able to cover up a wound like that with less than 1 sheet of this stuff. I cut mine to make it fit better. It does need to stay on so you put this on first, then put the Band-Aid on it. Of course change it everyday and make sure it stays clean. (Don't forget to sing "Happy Birthday" while you're washing your hands!! Stay safe!!) Personally, I don't get nosebleeds, but I can see how this would help someone who does get nosebleeds a lot. It's a small piece of stiff mesh that I think is loaded with styptic powder. You know you don't want to do laundry or even spot treat your clothes after that because you'll be dripping blood on whatever white outfit you put on that day. This product helps keep the mess of cuts like that at a minimum! It makes it quicker to bandage and make the bleeding stop. You'll be done quickly so that you don't have to get your freshly bandaged finger all soggy and bloody again by spot treating your bloody clothes! A+ product for saving your fingers and other small cuts with heavy bleeding situations.

Great Product at a Good Price
The CURAD BloodStopยฎ Wound Dressing 1โ x 1โ are great. Much easier to use than the powder. Many of our new scouts seem to cut themselves after earning their Toteโn Chip flee some reason. These 1โx1โ are perfect for managing these situations.

Great first-aid kit addition!
These are really wonderful to have on hand with your first aid supplies. Being an nurse, I saw how well they worked for stopping a cut from bleeding. They are useful for small cuts or wounds that wonโt stop bleeding after putting more than 10 minutes of firm pressure on them. For example, I cut the top of my finger after putting up my clothes line. It was not deep or large, at most it was a quarter of an inch in size. I knew it didnโt need stitches, but it just kept bleeding no matter how long I put pressure on it. So I cut a square of this material and put it on the cut as directed. The bleeding stopped quickly! Leave it on until the next day or it falls off. You can put a band-aid over it or you can moisten the edges with a wet finger to stay on. Another time, my lip was bleeding after trying to peel dry skin off. This stuff worked beautifully! Caution: this is ONLY for small cuts, not large, deep cuts. It is not meant for those. Always see your healthcare provider or urgent care for a larger, deep wound that need more than home treatment. Also, if you use this and bleeding continues, get help immediately. Or if you slash your finger with a knife go to urgent care! But for the small cuts that donโt stop bleeding, these are great!

Mom's on blood thinners, works great for nosebleeds, too small for anything more than a small cut
Mom's on blood thinners, works great for nosebleeds, too small for anything more than a small cut. Very tiny, not sure what else it would work for except a kid's tiny cut, but then again for that you don't need tio buy this, just apply pressure. For nose bleeds it works fast.

They work well
These are about one square inch, which is perfect for most small cuts. I just sliced my thumb wide open (more than 1 cm in at an angle). Itโs the kind of cut where you can feel your heartbeat in the cut, and the blood is pumping out like an overflowing toilet. Iโm not exaggerating. After putting pressure on it with toilet paper and then wrapping it with toilet paper and putting a Band-Aid over it (ghetto blood stop, usually works), I realized that blood was pouring out of the end of the Band-Aid all over the floor, seriously, big drops of blood all over the tile. So I went into our first aid kit to find these, put one on the cut after wiping the excess blood off. After a few seconds I noticed blood coming right through the little square, so I thought it wasnโt working, but I waited for a minute or so for it to do its thing and sure enough the blood stopped completely. I wrapped a Band-Aid around my thumb so that it would hold this in place with light pressure. Itโs been about 10 minutes since, and there is no blood anywhere to be seen anywhere around or under the Band-Aid; Iโm pretty sure I could just take the Band-Aid off right now and it wouldnโt have any chance of bleeding. These little guys fellers magic.

Recommended for those on blood thinners.
My Husband has to take blood thinners now, which make him blood excessively, at the least little prick or scratch. These bandages are now in my tool kit for the most minor incidents. Usually he soaks the first one, but it does stop the bleeding, then I replace it with a new one when he stops bleeding.

Thankfully not used it yet
Thankfully haven't had to use it yet..... but glad to have it. **update** had to use one night as a wound started bleeding heavily after coming home from hospital after surgery. Pressure bandage wouldn't work as the wound was from skin cancer excision on forehead. I applied this little patch, added a bandage around it and no more issues. Saved a trip back to the hospital!
