Unexpected yet wonderful
This book was as unexpected as it was awesome. New facets of the main characters were revealed as the plot thickened. My only complaint would be the ending as a cliffhanger, but I guess that just means I need to get started on the next one! 😜

Another Great Eve Duncan Hit
Eve Duncan is such a complex, wonderful character. I love the relationship she has with Joe but find with all the friendships she has developed in previous books that, it would seem, she would be opening up more to people around her. In the first part of this book I got a little frustrated with the way Eve was portrayed as I really feel like her character should have grown a bit more by now. However, as the book went on it seemed that Eve did indeed change. I loved the story, as usual and hope with the next book Eve continues to mature and grow rather than going right back to her standoffish mentality. Regardless, it is such a fascinating character overall. Thank you for Eve Duncan and teaching us about the science of forensic sculpting

Not your typical hide-a-way.
I have read all of Iris Johansen's "Eve" books. While not the best book in the series, it was definitely worth the read. I appreciated in Hide Away that there was a concise recap of what had happened leading up to this installment. It was short & woven into the story so the summary didn't stick out, but flowed with the rest of the story. Since I read about 125 books a year, I need that summary. In this book, several components from earlier books were brought together: Jane's dreams, relationship with Caleb, Eve & Quinn's relationship, etc. etc. Switching between characters located in different countries was done nicely. As always I'm ready for the next book, but know that it will be about a year before it is available.

Cliffhanger for the next book
Overall, I was captured by the story and new characters. I don't know how Eve can continue as a strong character with a baby in the picture. Cara would also weigh her down. A mother cannot take the chances that Eve takes. Time will have to move quickly in the books to let Eve be part of a major story line.I will be waiting, just as others will be to find out if Cara is returned. And it strikes me that Cara is close in spelling to Ciara.

She is such a fantastic author and me recently writing a book myself I ...
I barely ever give a book 5 stars but honestly when it comes to Iris Johansen I do every time. I am always picky about the books I read and always look at reviews and read what the book is about but when it comes to Iris Johansen, expecially her Eve Duncan Series or some of the others I just pick them up and without even looking buy the book. She is such a fantastic author and me recently writing a book myself I would love to meet her someday (haha).

I thought this one was one of the better of her last few
I try to read all of Iris Johansen books. I thought this one was one of the better of her last few. I like that Jane was back as a main character and that the book picked up where the last Eve Duncan left off. I believe that sometimes her characters are a little to mature for the ages that they are, but that is just my opinion. Overall, I thought this was a good book if you are a fan of the Eve Duncan series.

Dragging this story line out
Though I like the characters, this is all getting a bit repetitiveWeak on the story arc, too much soul wrenching, and the book leaves us again in the middle with no conclusions. One cliff hanger is forgivable, one two? Sigh

Book is tiny.
Have not read the book yet, but was disappointed with the size of it. It is tiny and will have to bend pages to keep book open. Why make a book so small?

Not her best
I find thst her stories are getting repetitive especially the eve Duncan series. The series that she writes with her son are better
