Got this to connect a Dell 3007WFP monitor ( which is an exceptionally good monitor back from 2006) to a 2015 Macbook Pro and the product works exceptionally well. The Dell 3007WFP requires an active DUAL-DVI connector. This adaptor fit into a display port (not the mini display) so got a mini-display port to display port adaptor along with it (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HNF0KF0?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title) The combination of these two will enable one to successfully pair the monitor with the Macbook pro. 1. Easy to connect 2. No Artifacts 3. Supports all the other scaled resolutions (The Dell 3007WFP only supports 1280 * 800 and 2560 * 1600) but the adaptor allows for all the scaled down resolution without issues 4. No issues with HDCP I've tried a few other adaptors but this one by far seems to be the best overall.

Does exactly what it needs to do, and worked immediately after plugging in. Feels sturdy enough, and it feels great using this monitor at its intended 1440p resolution over the 1080p max the HDMI supported. The setup is as follows: Dell U2713HM 27" 1440p (2560x1440). I use the single built-in DisplayPort to connect my laptop, and I wanted a 2nd cable running to my desktop and not have to unplug and re-plug every time I switched devices. To solve the problem, I run a DVI-D cable from the monitor to this adapter (BENFEI DisplayPort to DVI DVI-D Dual Link Adapter). The DisplayPort part of the adapter plugs into my video card (Radeon 7900XTX), and the USB part of the adapter plugs into an open USB 3.0 port on the motherboard. Some things to note: 1. Make sure the cable you are using is a Dual-Link (DVI-D) cable, not a single link. Single link will not provide you 1440p resolution even with this adapter. 2. Make sure you're getting the DVI-D adapter. The product page allows you to choose either a single or dual link. The one with the USB is the only one that'll work.

I was a little skeptical about this adapter because of the relatively low price and a few reviews that said they got defective units. Nevertheless, it works perfectly. One of my monitors had gone out and I ultimately traced the problem to a defective adapter. Plug this one in. The monitor immediately came to life. Full resolution. Excellent picture quality. And it appears to be sturdily made. One reviewer gave it one star because he said it "jammed" in the port on his computer. It's important to understand that these are locking connectors. One side of the male connector has a ripped tab. In order to remove the connector you have to press in that tab in order to release it. It's very easy to miss this fact if you're not familiar with this type of connector. It is really basically impossible to get stuck. This is really a good value for the money.

I bought this to extend the display of my Dell Precision 4800 (with dock) to a 3rd display. The build is solid, the connections fit well, and it worked as expected. I was not able to use it for my intended purpose though because I realized late that I needed an "active" DP-to-DVI adapter to extend to a 3rd display and this model is a "Passive" adapter. I still rate it as 5 stars and I use it for when I need to display my screen to a projector. Connected the display port of this adapter it to the Display port output of my new Lenovo Gen 3 Workstation Docking Station linked to my new Thinkpad P53 laptop running Windows 10. Then connected the female DVD-D connector of this adapter to my old reliable DVD-D to DVD-D cable which goes to my old reliable Dell 24 inch monitor. Before I purchased this adapter my DVD-D to DVD-D cable was connected to a Thinkpad W520 laptop which has worked flawlessly for years. I wanted a simple solution to continue working without re-cabling, re-calibration, re-signal matching, and re-purchasing new cable. I was skeptical. But it works, and perfectly. I simply inserted the adapter into my video cable chain with both monitor and computer off, fired up my computer and have the same HD video signal I had on my old Thinkpad system. Didn't need to make any adjustments to the monitor or the computer. Everything just worked. Saved me the hassle of buying new cable and rerunning it behind the desk and up to the monitor. Then having to match new signal. Highly impressed with this adapter for my particular needs. If you need something similar, stop reading now and purchase this adapter.

These allowed me to use some Gateway 1900x1200 computer monitors (purchased many years ago) with a recently purchased Win 11 computer (and later converted to Linux Mint woo-hoo). Saved me a bunch of money avoiding having to purchase new monitors.

Plug and play works as advertised in compatibility, fit, and connectivity. The black finish gives it a nice appearance with a sturdy material.

I have a friend with an old Dell mini-tower PC, and two monitors with DVI connectors. He recently had the PC repaired, and the OEM dual/split channel video card was replaced with a programmable VGU card which required two DVI to HDMI converter cables, and it works very well. Guess it shows that if you are happy with your old computer and it does what you want, there is no need to spend money on a new one. Walmart, Home Depot, and Best Buy no longer carry this item, so was very happy to get two of them at a very good price on Amazon.

Kvalitétskänslan finns där men fungerade inte för mig, får ingen bild av någon anledning när jag kopplade från datorns grafikkort DP uttag till skärmens DVI men den syns i NVIDIAs kontrollpanel.... väldigt märkligt vet ju att det är INTE är en dubbelriktad omvandlare och kan inte överföra signaler från DVI till DisplayPort... frågan är då är min gamla Benq monitor i behov av dubbelriktig omvandlare om nu sådant finns, önskar man kunde få kommentarer/svar här på frågan om de hela.

Niestety po około tygodniu użytkowania, urządzenie zaczęło niewłaściwie pracować. Efektem było wyłączanie co drugiej linii pionowej na monitorze.
