I like this teakettle. It looks nice and is a good size for me. The whistle is loud but it takes a while for the steam to build up enough to whistle. It kind of makes a jiggling sound well before the whistle sounds, so I usually hear that and turn it off. Easy enough to fill; the handle folds out of the way for that.

This tea kettle is well-made. It's definitely durable. The lid clamps on tightly, so you don't have to worry about being scalded when you pour water. The only feature I would wish for would be a handle that folds down, to make filling easier, but I can live with the stationary handle. I have no doubt this kettle will last and do the job for me for years to come.

We’ve only had this tea kettle about a week, but so far we are very happy with it. I picked it mainly because of the style and the fact that they had red. However, I was hoping that the red would be a deeper darker red than it is. Everything else is fine. I like how you can push the button down for the spout cover and you have a choice of either having it stay open or closing it again. I also really like the fact that the spout cover is metal and not plastic. That was one of the main things that sold me on this. The whistle is a little loud but not bad. I would recommend this tea kettle. Update: I am sorry to say that I have had to change my review of this product. At 2-3 weeks of use, it already had a chip in the red coating with only boiling water for coffee or tea. Now, after only about two months of use, the red color is burning off at the bottom of the kettle. I’ve tried to get in touch with customer service but have never heard back. I would definitely NOT recommend this tea kettle. This is so very disappointing as I liked it in the beginning.

Lovely tea kettle. The stainless steel bottom is a benefit as there is no paint coming off on the burner.
