Jurassic World: The Official Cookbook

I love this book. Bought it because my kids are super into the Jurassic Park/World franchise. The book is set up broken into the different parts of the theme park, which is fun! And most recipes go with a dinosaur, which appealed to my Dino-loving 5 year old. We have a fair amount of these franchise cookbooks, and I think this is my favorite. It’s the first one that I really feel like I’m getting into the park. I loved that the recipes are very Costa Rican - fits the location - and many are inspired by specific dinosaurs and their diets. We had a full Jurassic world family dinner tonight, and I was so happy with how tasty the recipes are! The pork & pineapple tacos and the stegosaurus corn cakes were delicious. The volcanic hummus and veggie chips were so fun! My kids had a blast and my hubby and I enjoyed the food. This is a super fun cookbook with legit recipes. (My photos are a first attempt…I was pleased with a first try but know they will only get better!)

Kids are learning how to cook! Not every recipe has a picture though. We like the facts that go along with the recipe. They divided the book up into herbivore, carnivore, marine, and cretaceous cuisine! That’s adorable!! Some of the recipes are tough but we always enjoy the attempt.

A cute cookbook that is written and decorated like a souvenir you’d get from the fictional Jurassic World theme park. The printing is clean and the images are highly detailed. The flavor text adds more so that it’s not a plain cookbook, and the pages are thick and durable to endure splashes from cooking. Its major—and perhaps only— downside is that there aren’t nearly enough photos of the recipes. Half of the photos provided are of dinosaurs, which is fine if they didn’t take away from the cookbook by removing space for the actual recipe’s images. Compared to the numerous other fandom/nerdy cookbooks, this is on the lower end of the scale by providing too few of photos of the food you’re considering to prepare. For that, it gets below a perfect rating.

If you think this will be a silly purchase think again! Yes it’s a bit gimmicky but the recipes are quality. It’s not full of recipes for children’s party or children. This is written just like you were getting recipes that are served in the actual park from the most popular restaurants of the most asked for dishes. They really did an outstanding job of sticking to the ‘story’ of the park and the things you can do in it/restaurants you can eat it. Delicious and grown up recipes, I’ve tried quite a few!! GET IT IF YOU’RE HESITATING!!!! Wonderful addition to any kitchen!

... and now you too can make your own Jurassic level meal. There are some very fun and tasty recipes in this cookbook and I have had immense fun having Jurassic parties featuring recipes from this book. You can't go wrong with recipes 65 million years in the making, can you?

The book arrived in the cardboard box book-mailer type packaging, keeping it safe, and it was shrink-wrapped, so it was in perfect and new condition. I’m a big fan of the movies, and this thick hardback is full of lots of fun recipes to try. It might feel a bit gimmicky, but for true fans, it’s a no-brainer and really cool!

Gift for a friend & they loved it

I've already started making things from this book. While I'm not vegan/vegetarian, there is a large selection of veggie only recipes.

Feels more like they grabbed some random recipes and slapped a photo of a dinosaur on them rather than a compilation of dinosaur inspired meals. A pre-made hot dog, in a pre-made bun, with some veggies chopped up as topping doesn’t exactly appeal to my love of cooking. Probably better as a book for parents to ease kids into the kitchen rather than a proper recipe book. Honestly a little disappointing :(

Excelente calidad, las hojas son muy gruesas y la pasta dura lo hace ver muy bien. Me encantaron las ilustraciones y las recetas se ven interesantes. Fue un regalo para un fan de los dinos, y le gustó mucho!

Pictures are lovely but the actual items in the cook book are not really dinosaur related. And definitely not suitable for children. I was quite underwhelmed with this product.
