This is a convenient way to temp your products. After about 5 years my first one seperated at the probe so I bought a second. The only drawback I had was that if you put it into a small pyrex to temp water(yeast etc) they turn over and you cannot read the actual temp till you turn them over again (curved angle of top and probe). Still a great product at a reasonable price.

Affordable, sturdy, and accurate. My last temp reader broke because I gently washed the tip and it couldn't handle it. So I ordered this one, I do love that it comes with a cover, it is sturdy as when I wash it... it doesn't break apart, and very easy to use. It has been a life saver for making juicy steaks! I also use it for baking as well. This one is very easy to use and clean, and it won't break the bank.

I like this little pocket thermometer and used it quit often in the kitchen, everything from testing fluid temperature for yeast to doneness of meats and temperatures of candy sugars. It worked fine, and was accurate to within 1`F (tested against three other thermometers), although not super fast reading. Then, last week, after almost exactly 2 years of service, it just died. I suspected the battery so I installed a new one but the thermometer still doesn't work now: it turns on but won't display degrees F, only in C; it is erratic and "jumpy" and shuts off after just a few seconds. Oh well, I suppose for under 10 bucks 2 years service is as much as I can expect these days.

I never had a digital food thermometer, and bought this one because it was well priced. I'm happy with this purchase. It registers quickly, the quality is good, and reading the temperature is easy.

Bought as replacement. Works great do not get wet wipe handle with alcohol swab instead. Not waterproof. Looks great light fast reads digital display long lasting battery.

I love having this temperature gauge for testing the dinners if my sourdough breads. Easy to ckean, very portable, the quality is great and it is accurate.
