Great Value!
I'm one of those nerds that do two weeks worth of research before buying a ballpoint pen and buying a TV mount was no exception. I scoured through dozens and dozens of wall mounts and finally settled on this Cheetah mount. I read all of the negative and positive reviews and decided that for the price it was worth a try (I paid $30.33). I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the mount was. This wall mount was so solid that I believe it could have easily supported a much larger and heavier TV set. Yes, it was a bit tough to move at first as some reviewers noted but I would much rather it be too tough to move than too loose. In any case, it did quickly loosen up to where it was easy enough for my wife to move, yet it still stayed 'firm' enough to hold the desired position. I did not find the construction flimsy at all as some noted, quite the contrary it was durable and heavy. Installation was really easy and while I am pretty handy the directions were simple enough for anyone to follow; in fact I found it so easy that I installed the mount and TV by myself (of course the TV only weighed about 25 lbs). Once a stud was located the mount was rock solid. It was nice to be able to move our older 32 inch Olevia in any direction (up, down, side to side, in, out). I really wanted an articulating arm and this did the trick. The bolt pattern on the back matched up to the obscure pattern on our TV just fine. The HDMI cable and the level made it an even better value. One reviewer noted this his TV dipped to one side. My TV dipped also, but it was easily fixed when I slightly tightened the silver nut on the back of the up/down swivel. It has held a perfect level ever since. I ordered the Hol-E-Cap wall cover kit to give a really clean look to hide the wires behind our drywall (this also was a great value and easy to install). I waited for six months before writing this review and I have moved the TV all over in various directions and it has held great every time. Not a single issue since installation. If you are looking for a great TV wall mount and do not want to pay hundreds of dollars than this wall mount is for you.

Great Price, Great Quality and Great Customer Service!
This may end up being my biggest review posted, but it has a great outcome. I ended up purchasing 2 of these mounts because of the price and figured if one works then I'll use the other in my room for the TV. So I have a 55" Insignia I have been wanting to set up in our dining room with a full swivel mount so we can turn it multiple angles. I read the reviews and saw some people say they set up their 55" TV and it worked fine and some complained about it. I researched my TV's weight and realized I would be fine and took my chance. The day I got the stand I set it up that night. I did the full process, setting up an idea of where the TV would go, measuring everything, making sure everything was straight and leveled, etc. I wanted this to be perfect, well once we installed the mount (which let me say was very easy, lightweight and came with all the equipment) I leveled everything and it looked perfect. Once we placed the TV on, it was very crooked and I was so upset. But once measuring and tightening up the ball joint on the back I came to think maybe it was a bad mount. The next day I reached out to customer service and sent them pictures and expressed I triple checked everything! I have dealt with some customer service reps that are not helpful or just say send it back we will reimburse you. These guys wanted to make sure I was well taken care of so they told me they would send me a different style mount that would be able to do the same things just instead of a single arm it was a dual arm for the mount. I went ahead and told them my studs were 16" apart and they sent it to me in 2 days!! Here's where I get embarrassed, once I got it, I wanted to set it up at home right away. I started to get everything ready and measure my studs distance and make sure everything was straight, then I came to realize... my studs were 24" apart! Now I felt ridiculous, so I emailed customer support, expressed my situation and told them it was my fault and I would pay for the new one and shipping because all I wanted was my TV on a wall mount. They told me not to worry and send back the one they sent me and they would send out another one with 24" stud points. I was amazed that they were doing all of this so I could be a happy customer. Well sure enough 3 days later, get the new wall mount and set it up right away. I will say it was a lot heavier than the one I am reviewing about but in the end if worked perfect, my TV is on a wall mount with their product and I could not be happier! I have gotten many friends to like it and told them about the experience. Also I ended up setting up the wall mount (that I thought was defective) in our bedroom for our 42" LG and again very easy to do and our TV looks great... I don't think the mount was bad just think my 55" TV may have been too big and possibly the weight was uneven for the TV. I have attached some pictures to show how our 42" LG TV looked on the wall mount, as you can see it can almost come to a full turn which is perfect for us because one picture is our view from our bed. Long story short, if you are looking for a wall mount, I would get this not just for the price but the quality and customer service. Honestly I'd pay whatever price due to customer service, because now I feel no matter what I pay they are going to take care of me. And for that, I thank them with my business and all future business as well.

it's perfect and I love it
Because I work from home as a full time software engineer and take care of my 17 month old son while my wife goes into work, I find myself needing to entertain my son with some educational shows from time to time (so that I can actually get something done.) I built a wood gate system to keep him in the front room with me, and I had a spare HP monitor, so I wanted to find an affordable, articulating mount to install the monitor on so that I could adjust it to his needs. I came across this mount and decided to give it a try. For my application, it's perfect and I love it! Pros: - It has plenty of movement (180° Swivel, 360° Rotation, ±15° Tilt). Whether my son is sitting in his high chair, sitting in his bean bag, or standing, I can adjust this to give him the best viewing experience. - It's sturdy. My son weighs 31 lbs and I've witness him hanging off of this mount without causing any damage to the mount. Again, I have a spare HP monitor attached to it but that, with him hanging on it, can be handled by this mount. - It's easy to assemble. When I opened the box, I noticed there were way too many bolts and screws than I would need, so it was a little overwhelming at first. But then I realized that you get a lot of mounting equipment so that out of the box, it will fit almost any application. I screwed this into the wood fence with two bolts (that were included) and kept the rest of the mounting hardware for spares. - It's designed to be installed on a single stud. Most mounts that are long, horizontal bars, require two studs to install the mount on. This mount, however, can be installed on one stud, keeping it's footprint small. Cons: None. Honestly, for the price I paid, I couldn't find anything to complain about. I've had this mount for about 6 months now, and even under abuse from my son, it continues to hold up great. If you're looking for an affordable, sturdy mount for monitors or TVs less than 50lbs, then I would highly recommend this product!

Great mount for the price. Make sure you have all the tools you need.
Works well, relatively easy to install. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Build quality is solid, and the joints provide a good range of options for the position of the screen. For the price I was surprised how solid the hardware is. Some notes on things I noticed during installation: • A set of Allen wrenches and a socket wrench set are needed for installation. You could use a small wrench set, but I found the socket wrench invaluable in securing the bolts to the stud. Also either wrench set will help secure the nuts when loosening the arm joints. The hardware was so tight on these joints, I had to use wd40 to loosen the nuts and bolts to allow movement of said joints. •also you will need a drill with a 5mm or 10mm drill bit, depending on if you are drilling into drywall or concrete, respectively. Also a regular screw driver. •If you are affixing the mount to drywall you will need a way to find the stud. Some other handier men may be able to find the stud with a hammer and their ears, but I required a stud finder. • I placed the mount for the 32 inch screen about 7 feet in the air in the corner of a bedroom and if you are thinking of doing something similar, make sure you have someone to help, or one heck of a plan to accomplish it on your own. • a small level and a hdmi cord are included in the package In closing, extremely pleased with product. I am not worried that I will wake up to a crash of the monitor falling. It is secure, and able to be repositioned with relative ease. (Ease of movement can be increased or decreased by tightening the joints to your needs.) I would probably buy the same one next time I need to mount a screen.

Fantastic wall mount for 40" tv!!
I researched for weeks for a wall mount for my new Samsung 40" Smart TV. It is a huge decision....life altering even :) I'm actually quite easy to please for products, it's the hubby who demanded several things; swivel to side to side, extend out from the wall so he can tilt the tv sideways to view from the other room, tilt up and down, be extremely sturdy, and look nice. Geez, and all that for just under $25? Got it! Well, pretty much. It isn't the prettiest of tv mounts, but you know what? After you put your tv on it, you don't see it! I was all " WTH? there's no cover for the plate and the screws show!" So I painted the screw heads black... Ooops, bolts, we used some huge-ass bolt things to attach to the wall. Painted those buggers black... and you don't see them anyway. Whatevs. We didn't even need the handy little level they send with, so I'm adding that to my daughter's little tool box. It'll work for hanging pictures or shelves or whatever college kids do. The added HDMI cord is actually quite nice too! The wall mount itself is quite stiff when you try to move the tv. Very stiff; I didn't like that. BUT as dear hubby pointed out, you want it stiff so your tv doesn't start moving around when you don't want it to. So yeah, it holds it's position very well; I use two hands to direct the tv to the position I want it in, and it stays put. Done Deal. It's all I need from my tv wall mount!! It fit my tv perfectly too I might add. I needed VESA 200 x 200 and did not need the extension arms. This tv mount comes with everything you need to mount to wall and attach to your tv. We just used our own bolts because we had some from our previous wall mount for a smaller tv. For the price of this mount vs the asking price for similar mounts and even this same one sold elsewhere, this was a fantastic deal! Walmart sells this for $40. I bought a stationary wall mount of my other tv for $35. This all mount moves in every direction you could possibly need and is only $25 currently here on Amazon!

improved model - updated review
I had reviewed this product in December of 2014, and gave it three stars with a review that can be summarized as "bad design.' I was recently contacted by the company and informed that the mount was redesigned and that I would be shipped one of the newer ones to replace the one that I am using. Full disclosure, the company refunded my original purchase price as well, and the did ask if I would review the new one. I don't write reviews much, and usually to point out something that I think I would have liked to know before purchasing a product. We've all experienced the ambiguity of the end of the scale reviews, glowing 5*, absolutely bummer 1*. A lot has to do with the star system because it doesn't allow for much grey, it tends to make people think in absolutes. I prefer useful comments. The problems I originally wrote about have been fixed in the new design. Installation is much simpler now. The section that attaches to the TV can now be installed separately from the unit that mounts on the wall. The caveat here is to make sure you mount the base directly to a stud, Drywall alone with not support this system because it allows the TV to come out as much as 2 feet from the wall, creating significant leverage against the base. To mount, separate the base from the TV back mount, and attach the base to the wall. The package includes all the hardware to mount the system, and a handy level. A socket wrench works best here, but an adjustable wrench will work fine. The kit comes with a TV mounting plate and arm extensions that fit all the different TV's I personally have from 23 inch through 40". Lay the TV flat, find the right mounting holes and using the included hardware, attach the plate to the TV. Then pick up the TV/plate and align the plate and drop in the retaining screw. This still isn't really a one person job except for the smallest TVs, but you only need help for a few seconds while the pin in set in place. Tighten everything up, adjust the angles and you're ready to go. Much quicker than before when the mount couldn't be removed from the base. My other complaint had to do with the poor swivel. The new unit has a larger swivel ball and a more positive retaining system. It moves and holds fine now, but if you do a lot of twisting and turning of the TV, the ball will probably have to be readjusted after some use. This should be a minor issue, it's easy to get to and would only take a minute.. I used this new one to swap out a flat wall mount on a 32 " TV. It feels solid and holds well, and allows movement of the TV which the old mount didn't. It's well built and anchored to the wall stud is quite firm, but I can't comment on using this on a larger TV, because it would obviously depend on weight. Given the price, about half of similar systems at the local box stores and the with the inclusion of a HDMI cable and level, this new version is an excellent value, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Probably ok for smaller tv's, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
REVIEW UPDATE: I originally gave this product 3 stars, and I stand by that (see below for our experience); however, I am upgrading my review to 5 stars because I am blown away by the customer service. In less than a week of me leaving my original review, Cheetah Mounts commented on my review, and I called them as requested. The gentleman discussed with me the company and their products. He also elaborated on how important his customer reviews were in future product creation. They are making several adjustments to their products and attempting to rectify any issues that their customers have found. I wish they sold other things, we would buy everything from them. This is a model for how companies should be today. An affordable product, with constant adjustment and improvement to products that need it, people seeking customer input and advice, and going out of their way to make a problem right. Cheetah mounts is sending us a mount to replace the one we have. The rep I spoke with also gave me contact information in case we have any other problems. GREAT COMPANY! ORIGINAL REVIEW: Short version: good mount for smaller TV's, if you are willing to use some ingenuity in case the mount doesn't come exactly as the instructions say. And by other reviews, the company seems to help when they can if something isn't right. Long version: I should have paid more attention to the reviews that claimed it was great for smaller TV's because I'm sure it's awesome for those. Our TV is only a 46 inch, but it feels like we're pushing our luck the longer it's hanging on our wall. The mount came with the mounting base upside down. We only discovered this because the picture in the instructions showed the square pivot point on top and ours was on bottom if the paw logo was to be right side up. So, we had to switch that first. Next, I assembled the extensions as directed, but when placed on the tv, they wouldn't line up. By the instructions, you are supposed to attach the tv to the mount after the mount is on the wall. If you have a heavy tv, this is very difficult. We had to take the mount apart at that very same pivot point so we could attach the tv portion of the mount to the tv and then reattach to the wall portion of the mount. By the way, the instructions should specify that the extensions maybe should not be tightened completely until placement on the tv is perfect. They instruct to tighten the extensions in place first. We attached the extension pieces loose, put the main mounting screws in place (the ones that attach the mount to the tv), and then tightened all the screws down in their proper place. Theeeennnn, we put the mounted tv on the wall mount and secured the pivot point again. There was yet another problem. The ball swivel seemed to not be able to hold the weight of our tv. The instructions said to tighten each spring with an allen wrench, however, the three screws surrounding the ball were not allen wrench compatible. We were able to tighten with a standard wrench, but not able to tighten enough for the tv to stay in place. Aaaaaahhh, it was so frustrating. The mount seems to be very sturdy and secure on the wall, no doubt. But we have a block of wood duck taped under the ball to hold the tv at the proper angle. haha Soooo, my 3 stars is a bit high because I think the mount would have been okay for a smaller tv and I'm only docking it for all the MacGyvering we had to do. Enjoy

Amazing mount easy set up and works great
First off let me tell you that it fit my 32" Samsung TV, perfectly just used four of the included thick plastic washer/Spacers so it would tighten fully. The process i used was to put on the plate that goes on the TV first, Then all you havve to do to install the mount is to place the mount on the wall where you want it, get a sharpie and mark the holes exactly where you want it(Use the level now to save alot of time) then drill the holes in the board, This is where it gits a little harder, they give you bolts which is good for mounting but harder to install, they give you a small thin wrench which i knew i was not going to use cause it was thin and flat, but i had a wrench so i used that, was easier than i expected, it took me abount 15-20 min to set up, it comes with loads of screws im guessing for different tv's, you are able to adjust the tension of everything that moves. comes with a long 10 foot high quality hdmi cable and a small flash light which i used to look in the socket to see where my wall stud was at, and a cleaning cloth. over all 9.9/10 its a 9.9 cause the ball that lets you move the tv in whatever position is a little sticky and likes to stay where its at, so when you move it it makes a pop when moved but after that its good, i did adjust the tension on that, other than that it moves smoothly. looks great and functions awesome. it is very strong it feels like it could hold more than 70 pounds to be honest. its great for 25.

Firstly the mount is actually a good deal larger and more substantial than you might expect ...
Outstanding value for money. Firstly the mount is actually a good deal larger and more substantial that you might expect from the pictures. The quality and finish are also very good, and it compares well to far more expensive mounts from some of the more recognisable makers of display mounts. It adapts to a wide range of VESA mounting options without getting in the way of connectors on the back of the TV. The included spirit level (magnetic) is a nice touch. A good range of bolts and spacers are also supplied to accommodate different TVs. Reasonably accurate positioning of the screen can be achieved. At full extension, there is some "give" in the mounting as you might expect, and the TV will bounce around a bit if nudged (18kg 55" TV in this case) - but once settled, it will stay put. Recommended.
