My family and I do not have a TV or entertainment center; the 5 of us watch movies on a laptop in a very large living room (about 750 sq feet). The screen is fine, but the sound has always been lacking. I've "gone thru" a variety of computer speakers. They are all OK, but not great. I finally decided to pay a bit more money for better sound, and I am not the least disappointed with this 24 inch sound bar. The volume, the lows and highs and overall quality is truly remarkable. It takes a couple of tries to pair it with my computer's blue tooth, but that may be a problem with my computer; and in any case, it always pairs, and sometimes the first time. The remote is quite handy (eg, you can switch from movie mode to music mode, etc). My only complaint is that it takes a rocket scientist to get the back cover off to insert the batteries. But it will come off with enough patience and a little luck. Wonderful soundbar! UPDATE: bluetooth pairing now works flawlessly. I just needed to "train" my computers to register the speaker.

While it delivers decent performance, it doesn't quite meet all of my expectations. The VIZIO V-Series 2.0 Sound Bar is a solid entry-level option, but it falls short in terms of sound quality and premium features. It’s a good value for basic use, but if you're looking for something with better performance, this may not be the best choice

VIZIO sound bar is amazing. We bought a new tv that was on sale. Has a great picture. The size of the tv is what we wanted. The sound sucks. So we bought the VIZIO sound bar. The sound bar made everything great. Listening to race cars wow! Thank you VIZIO

The speaker is a little smaller and I was concerned that the sound would suffer. I was absolutely wrong! The sound is rich and clean and the sound separation is very good. It powers on when you turn on the TV so it doesn't waste power when the TV is off, unlike the first unit. Set up was simple and there are various inputs you can use. My only regret is not purchasing this one first instead of the slightly cheaper one that died right after the warrantee expired. Buy this one, you won't be disappointed!

I have a Vizio TV and onboard speakers are terrible. I tried everything to set up my old Vizio soundbar using digital cables. Couldn't get it to work. Bought this sound bar because it had a HDMI arc input. My TV also had HDMI I with arc. I brought signal into TV on HDMI 2. Then connected the enclosed HDMI arc cable to TV and soundbar. The soundbar recognized the TV and set itself up. By setting itself up I mean it turned off TV speakers and set on/off of soundbar to be controlled by cable remote and set volume to be controlled be remote. Perfect. I recommend this soundbar if your TV has HDMI arc plug.

By the exorbitant amount of raving reviews, I'm shocked to my disappointment in this soundbar. It's merely plug and play indeed, but lacks any real adjustments though. I paired this with a Vizio 50" MQX TV, so I was expecting a well balanced sound...or at least better than the small rear drivers in the MQX. What I got was very superb high quality sound of every type EXCEPT the most important...speech! With the TV speaker volume it needs to be about 20-25 out of 100 to be loud enough. With this soundbar it needed to be 64-70 for the voices to be sufficient volume. BUT, then the music, dynamic sounds and immersive sounds would be blaringly loud. Another thing on the sound, as a gamer, it got rather annoying trying to tweak the minimal adjustments to make the two games I tried out sound pleasantly, but then when I switched to TV for a movie, I had to re-tweak the sound for TV. The few EQ sets it has doesn't seem to set and stay set upon changing. Also, while using the soundbar, twice my TV suddenly restarted on two occasions and my TV's picture settings would suddenly disable numerous settings greying them out until I changed picture set to and from... Soon as I stopped using the bar, that odd issue stopped as well. Even just the mediocre speech leveling alone, I cannot recommend this bar. Can't enjoy a movie if you can't hear what they're saying unless you wish to go deaf from every other sound in the film... In conclusion, I am returning the V20 soundbar as I'm rather disappointed the voice leveling is something they seemed to have forgotten to equal out.

I bought this after buying a Vizio TV that sounded terrible. This bar matched up really easily to the TV set using eARC. There was very little setup to do other than plugging it in. There is an online user manual that will help with setting up bass, treble and the equalizer. It has a good, rich sound to it, with a good amount of bass. I have had a home theater before, and this is not that, nor is it meant to be. I live in an apartment now so a theater set up is impractical. But this works great for that. Everything sounds better including games and music.
