I almost didn't buy this because of the negative reviews about it popping too easy. It does pop, every larger cube I've ever had does, but I did not find it to do so easily or excessively. It is also very easy to put back together when it does.

I've had other 3x3 cubes and a 5x5. This is my first larger 7x7 cube. I love the magnets to help allignment. It turns easily and snaps to the correct position. It comes with different strength springs and magnets to customize the exact feel, probably won't use any of it. The cube isn't delicate or ready to explode as some others might suggest, just need to not abuse it or treat it like a speed-cube. It's a marathon puzzle at 7x7, not a sprint.

This MGC 4x4 is a great cube. It has good corner cutting and the magnets are a decent strength. The only issue with it is if you turn it to roughly sometimes it'll pop, but it doesn't happen that often. For the price especially it's great. I'm no professional, but I really like this cube, because of the smoothness, speed and feel.

Right out of the box the cube was set to just about the perfect tension. For being a 7x7 and only $35, this thing functions extremely well. The turning is smooth and crisp, and very forgiving on misalignments. I've never once had it jam or catch on me. Neither has it ever knocked a piece out in corner cutting. Though, I am certainly not using it aggressively or with any regard to speed cubing. Now, the reason for the minus one star is because of the magnets. They are laughably weak. I know you can't expect much from a 7x7 this small, but I'd still like to feel a bit of snap to it. As it is, you need to set the tension springs to their lowest setting to even be able to feel that it has magnets. Lastly, I have one minor negative to note. Really it's probably just a me problem, and I don't know exactly what the issue might be. Quite a few times now I have accidentally grabbed the first row/column along with the edge row/column when rotating, and not noticed. It has really screwed me over a couple times.

Forgot to review this, but almost 2 years later this cube is outstanding and has never broken or even popped out. It is so satisfying to work with Amazing!

I've had this cube for almost a month now, and I still cannot get over how much I love it. The default springs are the perfect tension. They're a bit looser than I would want on a non-magnetic cube, but coupled with the magnets, it makes for a very solid-feeling product. Plus weaker and stronger springs are included if they're not to your liking. Honestly I cannot get over how much I love this cube. Turns snap into place beautifully with the magnets, it's simultaneously smooth and clicky in perfect amounts. If you're considering a 7x7, GET THIS ONE. I'm not sure you'll find a better value.

Everything turns easily and smoothly with no binding and it clicks into place exactly because of the magnets.
