It’s smaller than I thought it was going to be but I’m not upset about it. There’s a touch sensor button on the top which I really like for the light, Multiple different color options for that as well. Easy to charge and take with you wherever you might need to go. It has 38 different sound options which is more than any other sound machine I’ve found and you can make customized settings on it. It also comes with app-linking instructions for quick and easy use. Works great as a night light and my baby loves the “womb” sound. Sounds just like babies heartbeat at your on appointments. Definitely getting what you pay for.

Even though this is marketed as a baby sound machine, we actually use it as adults — and it works incredibly well. The white noise is clean and consistent, without the looping or mechanical hum you sometimes get from cheaper machines. It creates a steady background sound that masks household noise without being distracting, and it’s gentle enough to run all night. The built‑in night light is a nice bonus. It gives off a soft, warm glow that’s bright enough to navigate the room but dim enough that it doesn’t interfere with sleep. It’s the kind of light you don’t realize you’ll appreciate until you have it — especially for late‑night wake‑ups or early mornings when you don’t want to blast overhead lighting. The controls are simple and intuitive, which is something I appreciate in a device meant for nighttime use. You can adjust volume, switch sound modes, and toggle the night light without fumbling through complicated menus. The footprint is small enough to fit on a nightstand without taking over the space, and it feels sturdy rather than toy‑like. Even though it’s designed for babies and toddlers, it works perfectly for adults who want a reliable, soothing sound machine with a gentle ambient light. If anything, the fact that it’s built for infants means the sound quality is intentionally soft, calming, and non‑irritating — exactly what you want for better sleep. For the price, it’s a great little machine that delivers consistent performance and has become part of our nightly routine.

So many sound options and good sound. It’s app connected so I don’t even have to get out of bed to turn it on or change the sound & volume level. The nightlight is pretty bright! It has a timer on it to set routines which is super handy. It’s small enough to pack in a bag and send to grandmas house! Also looks very sleek and not bulky or ugly!

Update: I received the Hatch Gen 2 as a gift, I can now say with certainty, that I do indeed prefer the hatch, however there are pros and cons to both. The momcozy will work in a power outage if fully charged beforehand, the hatch will shut off entirely without power/being plugged in so it’s also less portable. I still have not downloaded the mom cozy app for the sound machine because I simply don’t want or need to, especially when all the tactical buttons on the machine make it effortless to use. The hatch NEEDS the app! I like the sound quality and dimmable light features better on the hatch than the mom cozy. And that’s about it. BOTTOM LINE: mom cozy is better price and better if you don’t want to rely on Bluetooth and WiFi and have an extra app. Hatch is better sound, light control, app experience, and eventually will be a sleep trainer “ok to rise” scheduling for a young child. I would have been just fine without receiving the hatch as a gift and continued to use the mom cozy sound machine! Original post: I debated buying this or the Hatch sound machine that looked almost exactly like it. I’m SO GLAD I bought this! I had it on my baby registry, was able to use my completion discount, and it was on sale, so I got it for less than half the price of the hatch! To be clear, I never bought the hatch, so I have no idea how good it really is. BUT. The light choices are great, not too bright or dark, perfect for just the right amount of light for night time feedings. It might not be bright enough for night time diaper changes, but if there’s another night light in the room, you might be fine. The 34 sound choices are great with adjustable volume. I love the tactical buttons on the machine, which means I DON’T need to download yet another app to my phone to control this. I can see why having the app is nice, but for right now, this machine is all we need. The charging device does have a backup battery so if power is out, or you have to take it to another room, you don’t have to worry about bringing the whole cord along too. If you’re looking for a sleep trainer, I would go for the hatch because of the programming and the app features…but if you just need a sound machine and a nightlight that is simple and is easy to use, and half the price of the hatch, get this! I’m glad I did!

I love it, I just wish that the white light was a little brighter. The battery life is great. I’ve had it for a few months and it’s now making a clicking sound when I have music or sounds playing but it does go away after a while. It can get really loud but it can also be put at a comfortable level for baby. The app is also really easy to use once you get the hang of it. I find it a bit easier to use the app vs trying to figure out the controls on the machine itself

For those wanting a Hatch comparison, I’ve got you. We ended up needing to replace our Hatches for various reasons, and I ended up trying this instead because it’s literally half the price. Other than using a generic smart things app instead of its own, it does all the same things - and more. Sleep routines, programmable time to rise color changes or just switch it from the app on your phone whenever you want, different sound options, manual buttons, etc. the bonus that Hatch doesn’t have? (Unless maybe a newer version does?) A battery that holds a charge so if your power goes out or you need to unplug it for someone reason, the white noise keeps going for many hours! Our power is notorious for going out anytime the wind blows and it did shortly after getting our first momcozy, my husband and I were sold when we heard the white noise keep going at 2am in the bedroom with this brand in it, as opposed to the dead silence and awake children in the other bedroom with the Hatch. When we had to replace the second hatch, there was no question - I grabbed this instead! Saved myself some money and hopefully some sleep! UPDATE 6 months later: I have found one con to this one compared to the Hatch. This one cannot seamlessly move from one routine to the next. For example, I want my children to sleep as long as they want most mornings, and they occasionally sleep past when the light switches from “bedtime” routine to “wake routine”. The only difference I have set between the two routines is the color of the light. The hatch moved between the two seamlessly so that if they weren’t already awake, there was no sound change between the two light colors. This one goes silent for 1-2 seconds between the routines. I haven’t been able to do anything to fix that. My kids have slept through it a few times, but there have also been times that transition wakes them up. Usually they are already awake so it doesn’t really matter.

I bought this back in April of 2023 and everything still works great! The only issue that happens every once in awhile is that the light would randomly turn on and off. With a little bit of troubleshooting myself, I discovered it was actually the app itself glitching and sending a Bluetooth signal to turn the light off. Once the light is on and you turn off Bluetooth, the issue stops. Again this is a once in a blue moon issue. Other than that never had any problems. It lights up the room really good, I’d recommend using the red light as it’s not too bright to strain your eyes to sleep but it’s enough light for you to navigate through your/babies room.

Final update: despite the issues with my item, I reached out to customer service and received excellent support. They immediately offered replacement and when there were issues with my mailing address, they offered a refund. Update: I wrote a glowing review and it seemed almost immediately after that I started having problems, so I need to correct what I’ve written here unfortunately. Overall the item is still working. There are some glitches between the app and the product, for example I will turn off the light on the app and it won’t turn off, or it will occasionally blink or randomly turn on. These are pretty minor issues and only happen rarely. My biggest complaint however is that suddenly the programs (alarms) are just not working. They worked initially so I know I’m setting them correctly, but at some point it just decided it wasn’t going to work anymore. I’ve contacted customer support about the issue and will update again if it’s resolved. Changing my review to 3 stars. Original review: I love this product and I have no idea why anyone would pay twice as much for the hatch (admittedly I’ve never used the hatch, but just from my experience with this product and reading reviews of the hatch). Please note that if you’re considering buying this and reading the few less than 5 star reviews, the issues those people were having were one off. I have no trouble using the app or Bluetooth while plugged in, and seeing as I use it at home that’s primarily what I’m doing unless I need the outlet. One issue is that the charge could last longer (about a day or so on one charge), but compared with the hatch that doesn’t have a battery, how could I complain? and as for the person who said the hatch was better… they said didn’t download the app. So I’m guessing they don’t know all the functionality available outside of the manual controls on the item. And I’m guessing the same goes for the other person who said the lights were too bright or the volume was too loud, or whatever it was. It’s all adjustable in the app! I love the program/alarm feature to set ahead for gently waking up on a schedule to feed my newborn, being able to make presets to make quick adjustments (the womb sounds are great for my newborn), and the sleep timer if I want to turn it off after we fall asleep. My only complaint is that if it’s unplugged, as far as I can tell there’s nowhere that updates you on the battery life. But again, the fact it’s portable at all is a bonus compared with the hatch so who cares, I just make a point of plugging it in regularly (I haven’t actually had to take it with me anywhere but I will eventually). So yes—if you’re debating this versus the hatch for twice the money, I can’t see any reason to buy the hatch over it.

I decided to buy this machine as I needed a lamp and a white noise machine. And I'm so glad i found it. The 2 white noise machines that I have always turns off its own and it's not easy to move and stretch to turn it back on while carrying/feeding a light sleeper baby. It has many sound options though I frequently use the lullaby option and turn on the white orangey light. I love how I can control the intensity of the light as well, to the dimmest when my 7mo is asleep. And I would lower down the volume before turning it off eventually too. Sometimes when my son is awake, I would play the good morning sound and on the colourful lights just for fun. There's also a timer option for when I want the machine to switch off but I've not use it yet. I wish I have gotten this machine sooner. The only thing that I wish for is for my husband to be able to pair the machine to his phone without the app logging me out automatically. It seems that only 1 person can pair it to their phone. But it's okay, when my phone is out of reach, I can physically press the on button and it will auto on to the previous setting. If you're thinking of a smart white noise machine that doubles up as a lamp, this is it!

I’ve been really happy with this sound machine so far. The sound quality is clear and soothing, and there are lots of different white noise and calming sound options to choose from, which makes it easy to find what works best for bedtime and naps. The night light is a nice bonus and the colors are soft, not too bright, so it doesn’t disturb sleep. I also like that you can control everything from the app and set timers or routines, which makes nighttime much easier. Works really well, has a schedule system so I don't have to turn it on everytime. I just add it to the schedule on the app and it comes off and goes off on it's own. The top sensor button doesn't work sometimes. I can't figure out why. But it works sometimes
