Is this the same English Leather formula from 40 years ago or is this the knock off that has been around for at least a decade or two?

Yes it is, I have been using this Cologne from the tender age of 14 years old. I loved that it has not changed at all over the years, as I am 60+ today! I still order it on line. Hope it was helpful.

Smells the same as the 80's. My dad wore this and was so happy to have another bottle after many years. It is the BEST cologne.
