But, on a 2 TB WD USB drive the partition type needs to be HPFS/NTFS/extFAT. I don't know about other brand of Hard Drives. The last WD drive Ipurchased didn't come with this partition name and the Media Player didn't see the drive. I found a Linux command line procedure on the WEBthat worked naming the partition correctly. If you format the drive in Windows it will change the partition name to something else. WD WEB sitesays you can set up the drive and format to NTFS in windows. They give a procedure. It will not work for the Media Player. There must besoftware to do this in Windows. I have not found any.

This little player is just fantastic. It is much better than I had really expected it to be. With its remote control, it has every function that anyone could ever ask for, in a media player. It can play every format of video, that you can imagine. It provides a very colorful display for its menu. It even has a screen saver! It also plays all photo files and all music files as well. It truly is a bargain for its cost.

I have 3 in the house. Works great ! And also I gave some to my cousins as a gift.

Keeps locking up on startup got it to work one time.

Worked great right out of the box... after 3 days of use, it no longer works... tv doesn't show its hooked up... tried a new hdmi cord and still doesn't show its hooked up... feels cheaply made, I'm assuming something internal is broken or stopped working
