I bought this having made my way through several machines looking for the perfect combination of taste and convenience. I love my mocha pot and milk frother but can't drag myself out of bed early enough to deal with all of the faff. Cue the breville. Easy to use and clean but very disappointing when using pre ground coffee (Illy). Tasted like dishwater. Could be the way I tampered but tried varying degrees of pressure with no success. And then I bought some Illy ese pods. Eureka! Perfect coffee at last. I haven't tried beans yet but am happy to stick with the pods. I ummed and ahh'd for a while before buying as some of the reviews weren't great but so far so good. For those who don't read instruction books, please do. One of the things that could damage the machine is trying to yank the milk container off. The is a release catch just above the container and it also helps to use this when re-attaching. Also, if you need to change the espresso filters over you do need to align a barely discernable notch in order to do so. I spend a good 10 minutes fiddling and complaining before resorting to the instruction book. Lesson learned.

Easy to use, it's perfect for a couple. Little bit noise when is doing the milk part, and u need to wait like 3 4 minutes till the water and the milk heating up,but I love it nice coffe.

I do really like this Breville One-Touch Coffee Machine overall, as it makes a nice cup of coffee and is very simple to use. It offers more variety than pod machines, but without the complexity and effort of a full barista-style setup, which is a big plus for me. That said, I do think it’s slightly overcomplicated in places. In my opinion, it really only needs two buttons — one for coffee and one for milk. The extra preset options feel unnecessary, especially as they don’t even fill a small teacup properly. For most people, coffee should be a proper mug-sized serving, so the portion sizes are a bit disappointing. Another downside is the milk container. While it works well, it’s not very easy to clean. I think Breville should have included a specially designed cleaning brush that fits inside the container, as this would make maintenance much easier and more hygienic. Overall, it’s a good machine that produces enjoyable coffee and strikes a nice balance between convenience and choice, but it could definitely be improved with simpler controls, better portion sizing, and easier cleaning.

5-Star Review for Breville One-Touch CoffeeHouse (VCF107) “Better than the newer model — here’s why” I recently bought the Breville One-Touch CoffeeHouse (VCF107) as a replacement for the newer VCF146 model I had before — and surprisingly, I actually prefer this older version in many ways. Why it’s better than the newer version: 1. Physical buttons are more reliable: One of the biggest improvements is the use of mechanical push buttons instead of the touch-sensitive sensor buttons found on newer models like the VCF146. On the newer machine, the touch buttons would occasionally activate unintentionally or require repeated pressing. With this VCF107, every press is firm, tactile, and dependable — no guesswork. 2. Same high-performance 19-bar pump: Despite being an older model, it still uses a powerful 19-bar Italian pump, giving you rich espresso with proper crema. In terms of actual coffee output, there’s no downgrade at all. 3. Familiar milk frothing system: The automatic milk frother works just as well as the newer one. It heats and froths consistently, and it’s easy to clean. There’s no compromise on cappuccino or latte quality. 4. Solid build and easy-to-use design: The layout of the VCF107 is slightly more straightforward. Everything is clearly marked and accessible, which makes daily use smoother — especially for people who just want good coffee without overcomplicated controls. 5. Better durability (in my experience): My newer model had issues with leaks and electrical faults — I believe some of the newer revisions have sacrificed robustness for style. Got the prima latte version, I have to say I'm impressed with the value and quality for money on this product. Used it once so far but can't wait to use it more. User friendly and great coffee to milk ratio. Fits perfectly for where I brought it to go and looks super cute.

Arrived brand new but faulty. The milk container does not slot into place correctly so the milk flow is non-stop, unless you manually stop it. This fault renders the programmable drinks useless. Such a pity. The coffee holder is very stiff to use too, and getting it into just the correct position is fiddly and requires multiple attempts until its correct. Far too much faff to make more than one drink in a row for others. The stiffness means that for hold-purchase while you try and turn the thing into place means you have to hold onto the machine which is really hot, this is not good. But the milk not stopping because the container does not fit where it is supposed to, is the real issue. The heat is perfect though, very hot! Sadly returned it, as it does not work the way it is supposed to.

Very easy to use and you get a proper cup of coffee. Value for money.

Further update 19 months after original purchase: It’s now in the bin. If you expect your coffee machine to last longer than this, my recommendation is not to buy this one. Review updated and downgraded to 3* because after 18 months of use the milk frother has died, so this is now just a large espresso machine with a chunk on the side that no longer works. It has been regularly cleaned and maintained as per the instructions over this time, so it’s disappointing, as it was a good machine. For a machine used twice a day at most, it’s a bit disappointing to only get 18 months out of it. Sadly, aftermarket parts for it are not available, so if you’re considering this machine - buyer beware. Bought this after a reasonable bit of research into options and different machines. Wanted to get close to a good barista style cappuccino or espresso for me and a nice latte for the Mrs, which are our coffees of choice. It does a splendid job. If you spent more you could get even better I’m sure, especially if with a good bean to cup machine, but if you don’t want that level of expense this is a great choice. We use it every day. Our kettle is practically redundant! A little bit of experimentation with the preset options and we’ve got our coffees just how we like them. The removable milk container means it’s easy to put the milk back in the fridge to stop it going off. It’s nice and compact and it’s dead easy to use. It can be a bit fiddly to clean, but only because I guess nobody wants to clean it, right. You just want to use it. But when it comes to cleaning it, it’s pretty easy to do. Overall, this little baby is definitely worth the investment.

Upgraded from a 'Pod' machine. This is easy to use, having the automatic milk steamer. There are options for both premade and custom blends.

I ordered this machine last December as a present but it arrived faulty, the water tank keeps leaking slow leak after use. Returned it and ordered another one and this time while doing the Prime the control panel for steam heater is not working, only the espresso panel light is on. Tried it after 30 mins and still the same.

Steam makes the display labels disappear.also the machine came without the pods which are listed in the instructions. No notice for Australian consumer that the machine will come with a UK plague.
