This product quickly relieved my mild case of scalp eczema. But, its active ingredient gives it a strong petrochemical odor that doesn't rinse off. It leaves you smelling like a Jiffy Lube grease monkey.

Great price fast delivery. Works as promised. Much less expensive than Neutrogena. Couldn’t find the Neutrogena brand and the drug store Or grocery stores. Found it on Amazon but it three times the price. Gave this product a try and it works great with the same results.

After T-Gel was discontinued I tried a few other things and nothing worked very well. I found this product and it costing 1/4th of what the price gouging of T-Gel is going for and decided to give it a try. Male, medium length hair. I found that after 5+ weeks of using it, the first few weeks every day to get back to normal and now just every other day or so it works as good as T-Gel or even better. No more buildup, flakes, and itches are minor if at all. I wash and rinse my hair with cool water and then use a cheesy grocery store brand conditioner and all is well. Some of the reviews here complained about the smell - "it smells like someone is tarring a roof". There is a little smell, no worse than T-Gel, and actually maybe not as bad. Once you rinse your hair, the smell goes away. I had the wife unit verify this. After a few days of shampooing with it you don't even notice the smell. I'll take 3 1/2 minutes of smell vs. an itchy scalp any day. As an experiment I have 1/2 bottle of T-Gel left and used it for a few days. Yep, it smells worse. Glad I found this, it fixed an annoying problem.

I have been using the extra strength Equate brand for several years, and this appears to be identical, judging from the back labels and actual results. It keeps the eczema at bay by slowing scale formation and I alternate with salicylic acid shampoo which breaks down the scale.

I used this product for about four weeks. As a person with shorter hair, I don't require much in each use. But after a few days, I doubled the amount I was using. But my scalp still had periods of intense itching even with this product having the same amount of the active ingredient as the extra strength T-Gel. Eventually, I went back to the extra strength T-Gel and paid the much higher than usual price. Within two days, my scalp stopped itching and I haven't had anymore issues for several days now. It's hard to pinpoint causes of itching since stress, what you eat, when you shower, and if you use it with other hair products like hairspray and conditioner, etc. But I kept most things consistent and determined that this product didn't work as well. There must be something else in the T-Gel that also helps -- not just the active ingredient.
