Too small for cooker
It works but it seemed as if the 2” ? Hole opening was not allowing enough air flow Before the temperature even got up and shut it, I had it on too big of a cooker probably work for something small

Great addition to my Big Green Egg
Great product. Keeps my egg running perfectly @ 225 all day when smoking. Much simpler and cheaper than the electronic temp controls. TTT customer service is great as well. Quick email response, helped me with a small part that I knocked off and misplaced.

Lack of instructions
Maybe I'm missing something but it doesn't work on my weber.

So easy to use
Turkey, beef, pork any cut and size of meat is smokable with the TipTopTemp. Uses less charcoal, maintains consist temp. (Just let it cook) I wanted to check it more often than I should. I got one of the very first ones made, washed it often. Now I have a new model! EVEN BETTER! LOVE IT !!!

worked fine, hole is not too small, read the setup instructions
People need to read and understand the instructions. If you place it on a hot grill of course the damper will close, that is what it is supposed to do. The instructions state to reopen the damper a couple times until it quits moving. At that point the damper coil is the same temp as the exhaust. Now close the damper and it will keep the grill at target temp.

Works great, but ...
Bought it in 2017, the then-current model.Glue was holding on the number guide on the knob; the glue stopped working and the number ring fell off.Got immediate help from customer service on how to fix. A little super glue got me back to 100%. Very happy.
