Are these self sticking or do I need adhesive?

They aren't self sticking nor do you need adhesive. Your microwave should either have tabs that they slide into or they should have some type of anchor/plastic screw that attaches them to the side. Adhesive is not something you would want to use in your microwave.

What do you use to punch the holes?

I didn't have to punch any holes. I merely traced the old one on to the new one and cut it out accordingly. Worked fine.

How thick is this product?

Same thickness as the original cover. Cuts easily with scissors and/or a box or exacto knife. Just trace your existing cover onto this and cut. Works great.
